The Pakistan Super League (PSL) presenter and Australian cricket commentator Erin Holland praised the Men In Green’s most effective players.
In a tweet, Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan were mentioned as having been selected for the 12th season of the Big Bash League’s international player draught. Holland was responding to that tweet.
While the fiercely competitive tournament is scheduled to begin on December 13, the league draught is anticipated to take place on August 28.
Holland claimed in a tweet that she personally witnessed the destruction that Babar, Rizwan, and Shaheen were capable of causing during the PSL.

In addition to the three, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan were selected in the draught, but they are not newcomers to the league as they have previously played in it.
After scoring an incredible century against Sri Lanka in Galle, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam said on Wednesday that Abdullah Shafique can go on to become one of the best Test openers in the world.Erin Holland
Pakistan won a tense first Test in the final session of day five after Shafique scored an unbeaten 160 to lead Pakistan home in a record chase of 342 at the picturesque venue.
Prabath Jayasuriya
The in-form Prabath Jayasuriya led a spin attack that claimed nine wickets in the match as the 22-year-old batted for just under nine hours and five sessions.
Azam told reporters, “As a youngster, when you prove yourself and perform in difficult circumstances and difficult tracks, then it’s good.”
“After playing against Australia, he had gained a lot of confidence and was at a higher level. Your confidence grows as you perform well against high-caliber bowling.”Erin Holland
In just his sixth match since making his debut last year, Shafique, who made 136 without being bowled against Australia in Rawalpindi in March, scored his second Test century.
The right-handed batsman scored 7 fours and 1 six in his 408-ball innings while blocking, defending, driving, and attacking to earn the captain’s high praise.
“He will get many, many more such knocks,” predicted Azam, who contributed to a crucial third-wicket stand of 101 runs with Shafique to set up the chase.
Shafique, who has played in 11 Test matches and has an average score of 80, added 71 runs with wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan (40), and then 41 runs with Mohammad Nawaz, who scored 19 runs without being out.
With a defiant 119 in the first innings and then 55 in the second to put Sri Lanka on the back foot, the 27-year-old Azam continued his prolific run-scoring.Erin Holland
Azam, who batted with the tailenders in the first innings to help the team recover from 85-7 to 218 points, said, “It was kind of special because the team needed it.Erin Holland
“Because it was challenging, it was one of my top hundreds in Test matches. You must focus twice as hard to control tailenders while keeping an eye on yourself. I’m glad I did that, too.”
In just his second Test for Sri Lanka, Jayasuriya, the opposition’s spinner, was praised by Azam for being their “main weapon.”
On Sunday, also in Galle, the second and final Test will start.
Wednesday’s thrilling opening Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was won by the visitors after Abdullah Shafique hit an outstanding 160 to lead Pakistan’s record-breaking 342 run at Galle.
The opener completed his exhausting performance by scoring the decisive runs in the final session of day five, jumping for joy and pumping his fist as Pakistan won by four wickets to take a 1-0 series lead.Erin Holland
The visitors beat the previous best chase in Galle of 268 by Sri Lanka against New Zealand in 2019. Left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya had a match haul of nine wickets, but his efforts were in vain as the visitors battled past that mark.
Shafique, 22, excelled with his second Test century. He formed significant partnerships, such as a 101-run third-wicket stand with captain Babar Azam, who scored 55 after scoring 119 in the first innings on a challenging pitch.
Azam explained the tense victory by saying, “We know how to play spin, so we believed.” “Abdullah Shafique and I were just trying to establish a partnership when we were batting. He demonstrated his class.”
The player of the game, Shafique, said: “Though initially difficult, it became simpler with time. One of the best in the world is Babar. We have gained a great deal from him. He was a pleasure to bat with in the middle.”Erin Holland
After a brief rain delay put an end to their charge, the unbeaten Shafique finally teamed up with Mohammad Nawaz, who was still alive and scoring at 19 runs, to take the visitors home. Before returning for the third round of play, the teams had early tea.
Shafique overcame three dropped catches—on 70, 135 and 151—but deserved his good fortune and performed flawlessly as the anchor as he broke his previous Test record of 136 not out.
After Jayasuriya struck at the start of lunch to dismiss debutant Salman Ali Agha for 12, who had sent back talisman Azam before the end of day four, Pakistan experienced a brief period of unease.
Hasan Ali
Hasan Ali, who had been moved up the order to hit, was out for five in the second over of the second session.
Lone man Jayasuriya Jayasuriya kept up the pressure, but Shafique resisted. Jayasuriya took 12 wickets on his debut in a series-leveling Test victory over Australia last week at the same location, six in each innings.Erin Holland
As soon as Sri Lanka used up their final two umpire reviews, which both involved Jayasuriya, Pakistan resumed the day on 222-3.Erin Holland
Mohammad Rizwan began the day with a boundary off Ramesh Mendis and maintained his optimism by taking singles and twos before being bowled out for 40 by Jayasuriya.
“We were unable to assist Prabath from the other end with the ball. We had to offer him more assistance, “About his lead spinner, who toiled for 95.2 overs over the course of two innings, captain Dimuth Karunaratne said
Rizwan, a wicketkeeper-batsman who entered the two-match series following a successful stint with English county Sussex, was not saved by a review.
Dinesh Chandimal
When Sri Lanka’s second inning total of 337 was reached, Dinesh Chandimal continued his dazzling form by scoring an unbeaten 94, his second consecutive half-century, before running out of partners.
Azam scored a resolute century in Pakistan’s first innings in a match of dramatic comebacks, and then patiently batted with the lower order after the visitors fell to 85-7 on day two.
Due to the political unrest in Sri Lanka, the second Test was moved from Colombo and will begin on Sunday in Galle as well.
