Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, asserted on Wednesday that MPAs were being offered Rs500 million to swap allegiances as horse-trading was taking place in Lahore as the contest for the position of Punjab’s chief minister heated up.
According to the PTI chairman’s tweet, “Today, Lahore is witnessing a rerun of the Sindh House horse-trading scenario that occurred in Islamabad, with up to Rs500 million being offered to buy MPAs.”
He said that the “primary architect” behind it was PPP Co-Chair Asif Ali Zardari, saying the former president had obtained a “NRO for his corruption and purchases people with plundered riches.”
The PPP leader was to be imprisoned, according to the former prime minister.
“Our democracy is under threat, but so too is the moral core of our society.
The PTI chairman asserted that if the Supreme Court had intervened and permanently prohibited these traitors, it would have served as a deterrent.
Additionally, he questioned whether the “handlers” of the current administration were aware of the “serious harm being done to the country.”
