LAHORE: A 20-year-old Lahore College for Women student vanished on Friday. Laiba Khan, 20, of Al-Hafiz Town Marghazar Colony, allegedly left with her brother at the university’s entrance on Jail Road early in the morning, according to a number of sources.
This is true, according to the original information report provided to the police. Her brother called her mobile phone at 11:30 a.m. as he was enroute to pick her up, but it was off. However, after waiting until the evening, the police finally got a FIR.
Police are looking for the student, and they say “she will be found shortly.”A student who went missing in May of this year was later discovered to have been snatched in Lahore’s Shadbagh neighbourhood by her ex-fiance. She was later found in Pakpattan’s Arifwala tehsil.
After the viral video of the kidnapping incident, Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti of the LHC was made aware of the problem. He has allowed the girl’s return to be ensured by CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana and IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan until 10 p.m.
