The Galle Test, which begins this Saturday, will feature the Babar Azam-led Pakistan team playing Dimuth Karunaratne’s Sri Lanka.
Skipper Babar is nonetheless prepared to perform to the task.
The 27-year-old posted pictures of himself hitting shots during the three-day warm-up match against Sri Lanka Cricket XI on Twitter with the caption “Gearing up for Galle.”

At the Colts Cricket Club Ground in the game that resulted in a draw, Babar scored 88 runs off 113 with the help of eight fours and four sixes.
The team’s home series against Australia in March, which they ultimately lost 1-0, featured Babar, who has been in excellent form with the bat. Babar recently hit 196 against Australia.
Sri Lanka enters the Pakistan series after two contrasting performances in Galle, where they initially lost to Australia on a brutal turner before regaining their composure to thrash the tourists on Monday.
The 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship Cycle will govern the Test series.
The first Test will start at the Galle International Cricket Stadium, and the second game will be played at the Colombo stadium from July 24 through 28.
