Pakistan’s Under-12 tennis team has set off for Kazakhstan to take part in the Asian Under-12 Tournament and a training camp. The team will compete in the ATF Under-12 Championship, scheduled to take place in Shymkent from September 16 to 21, 2024.
The championship will host 12 teams from across the region. The Pakistani squad includes three players: Shayaan Afridi, Muhammad Junaid, and Rashid Ali, with Muhammad Abid serving as the coach and non-playing captain.
In addition to the tournament, the team will undergo a three-week training camp in Kazakhstan. This camp will feature a one-week session before the ATF Tournament and a two-week session following the event. The training camp is organized under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) and the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
