Dear Ms. Samreen Nadeem Samr. I have always liked your insightful and inspiring poetry. It is a happy news that from Qatar, you have been invited to Britain to participate in an international poetry festival. It was my honor to receive your phone call a few days ago and discuss literary modern trends in poetry.
Today, you have posted your pic with the caption: “ Spending beautiful time in Dewsbury.” You are seen embracing a tree. On seeing your pic, I am remembered of the Poet of Nature William Wordsworth, who was once seen embracing a tree in a garden and talking to it. A passerby asked him what he was up to. He said: “ He loves nature as nature does not betray the lover while the man betrays the man.” William Wordsworth in his “ Lyrical Ballads”, gives a message of communion with nature. He had said:
“ There is a divine spirit in all objects of nature, hence they have a healing power.”
Your deriving of happiness from Nature teaches a lesson of fidelity, sincerity and universality. Nature impacts the positive psychological behavior and bent that produces soothing effects in the sharpening of soul and In shaping one’s personality. Poets are hyper sensitive and feel relaxed in beautiful valleys as Willam Wordsworth says:” The study of a real poet is the study of books and brooks.”
At an other place, he says:” Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings. It takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility.”
I feel it pertinent to mention that I was born in Poonch City of Kashmir. Kashmir is a heaven on earth. The love of Nature is in my blood. I feel deeply pained to mention that my birth place is in Indian side. I always yearn to visit my birthplace but due to tug of war between India and Pakistan, could not visit the valley of my dreams. But whenever I visit Azad Kashmir, I am engrossed and enchanted by its natural beauty. I look at Kashmir with tearful eyes and wish it to be free from Indian yoke.
