In 2015, Ed Sheeran gave up using his own phone.
Ed Sheeran has disclosed a fairly unusual and rare truth about himself in relation to the contemporary environment.
The musician, 33, “got rid” of his mobile cellphone about ten years ago, so he doesn’t possess one and barely ever uses one.
As he said, “I haven’t had a phone since 2015,” the Shape of You singer made an appearance on Jake Shane’s chat programme Therapuss.
When Jake Shane, the host of the programme, requested for Sheeran’s phone number, the singer offered him his email address instead, which led to this interaction. He clarified, “I don’t have a number, so that’s not me playing you off either.
The Perfect musician went on, “I have some video stuff that I like to post on social media, but it’s not like an active working phone.”
Ed Sheeran disclosed that he decided to give up his phone due to the sheer number of contacts he had collected.
“I think I had the same number since I was about 15 years old,” he said. “I got famous and had 10,000 contacts on my phone who would just text all the time.” And I just kept in touch with a lot of folks all the time.
