Feroze Khan, a Pakistani actor, has made news yet again, this time for his recent wedding. The prominent actor, known for his roles in television series like Khaani and Ishqiya, announced his marriage on social media with an emotional statement. Khan posted a photo with his new bride, Dua, “Welcome to my life, gorgeous.”
The announcement rapidly drew attention, not only from fans, but also from other celebrities, who turned to social media to express their happiness and best wishes for the marriage. Imran Ashraf, an actor, commented, “Many congratulations, brother,” with a heart emoji.
In the replies section, Azfar Rehman remarked, “Mashallah,” in addition to Khan’s sister actor Humaima Malick who left heartfelt comments on her brother’s post. “May God save you from evil eye,” the Arth actor wrote. Turkish star Celel Al also wished the Pakistani star the best of wishes.
Rumours of Khan’s marriage began to circulate when photos of what appeared to be the couple’s mayoun ceremony went popular on social media late Friday night. The photos depicted a classic setting with friends and family gathering to enjoy the pre-wedding festivities. Despite the rumours, Khan kept silent till his last post confirmed the news.
The Khumar actor’s marriage comes after his previous highly-publicised marriage with Alizay Sultan, which ended in divorce. The former couple shared a turbulent history, with domestic violence allegations levelled by the Sultan towards Khan.
Sultan filed evidence to the District and Sessions Courts in Karachi East to back up her claims, including photos of injuries allegedly caused by Feroze on July 7, 2020 and May 10, 2021. Sultan’s family had her undergo a medico-legal examination at the Postgraduate Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), and the medical results were submitted to the court. The findings confirmed injuries on her arms and waist, which supported her claims of physical assault.
On September 1, 2022, Sultan made a public announcement on her Instagram account that she was separating from her ex-husband. In her declaration, she described their four-year marriage as chaotic, revealing that they experienced “constant physical and psychological aggression, infidelity, blackmail, and degradation.” Sultan stated a desire to prevent her children from growing up in a “toxic family.” The former couple married in March 2018 and have two children, a boy and a girl.
