LONDON/NAIROBI: As the investigation into the journalist’s death proceeds, local sources have revealed that the AmmoDump Kwenia Shooting Range in Magadi, where Arshad Sharif spent his final hours, has been closed for business.
The local police authority has cancelled or put on hold all warranties for training and shooting exercises with the website, according to sources, and an American security company has reportedly withdrawn from a deal with AmmoDump.
While the investigation is ongoing, several additional companies have suspended their contracts with the shooting range.The website is owned by Waqar Ahmad and Khurram Ahmad, two businessmen from Karachi who also own and manage a number of real estate projects in Africa.
The owners of the shooting range were instructed to cease all operations, according to a local police source. The police source confirmed that a number of local officials used to schedule shooting range sessions there.
