4.9 magnitude of earthquake shakes the area of Islamabad and surrounding areas on 7 November 2022.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, November 7 (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th November 2022): On Monday morning, a number of towns in Pakistan, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi, were shaken by an earth-quake of a magnitude that was about in the middle.
The level of strength of the earth-quake was determined to be a 4 by the National Seismic Monitoring Center.
A private television channel said that although the earthquake measured 9.0 on the Richter scale and had its epicenter on the border between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, there have been no reports of any damage or injuries as of yet.
The Monitoring Center estimated that the depth of the earthquake was 227 kilometers below the surface of the ground.
