Although Halloween is officially today, true celebrants have been dressing up all weekend. Celebrities dressed to the nines for the annual Casamigos bash in Los Angeles, including Rebel Wilson as Barbie, Cindy Crawford as a cowgirl, and Crawford’s model daughter Kaia Gerber as the butt-kicking Trinity from The Matrix. We were drawn to Gerber’s stylish attire because it was so fashionable.
With a black patent trench coat, matching boots, and dark, tinted sunglasses (don’t forget the slicked-back hair! ), Gerber perfectly captured Trinity’s look. Although it is easily recognisable, it is also very wearable outside of a costume party setting. Take a look at the most recent Balenciaga show to notice the abundance of head-to-toe leather ensembles that were also paired with sleek black sunglasses.
Leather trench coats were also available from Coach and Bottega Veneta. You can wear them with almost anything, so you don’t need to wear the trench to battle enemies and avoid bullets with air-bending abilities. They’re a fantastic autumn/winter statement accessory that instantly gives any outfit edge. Not to mention that it matches Gerber’s refined, fitted personal style well.
