KARACHI: As the rupee strengthened and investors wanted assurance that the political and economic unrest would ease or not, gold prices in Pakistan fell on Monday.The price of gold decreased by Rs 1,800 per tola and Rs 1,544 per 10 kilos to settle at Rs 150,000 and Rs 128,600, respectively, according to data supplied by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The price of the precious metal increased overall for the month of October by Rs4,500, or 3.09%, per tola.The gold market is likely to continue in a holding pattern until the ongoing political instability is resolved and economic clarity returns; this will require an unanticipated modest or large move to have an effect on markets.
