On November 1, the prime is due to arrive in China for an official visit. Since taking office in April, this is his first trip to the neighbouring nation.
Following the end of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Beijing, Shehbaz Sharif is one of the first group of international leaders to visit China.

He expressed appreciation for the Chinese government, people, and businesses that have generously donated about the aid provided by China to the flood-affected residents of Pakistan.
He said, “China has provided food, medication, mosquito nets, and many other supplies for the flood-affected people.
He said that the Chinese government had made a significant contribution and asked the Pakistani government what further Beijing could do to aid the flood-affected people.
He expressed his admiration for China’s quick progress in the economic, social, and cultural spheres and stated that the neighbouring nation adheres to the concept of globalisation, and he wished to imitate the Chinese approach to economic growth.
He claimed that the Belt and Road Initiative’s (BRI) flagship project, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has entered a high-quality second phase, has completely changed the country’s infrastructure and energy sector.
People can now move between locations more quickly because to the countrywide road network built as part of CPEC, the official continued.
According to Shehbaz, he would also talk about CPEC’s potential involvement in the Belt and Road Initiative.
