IMRAN KHAN OBJECTS TO NA-95 MEMBERSHIP BEING SUSPENDED
Khan has asked the court to overturn the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision to de-notify him as the MNA from NA-95 Mianwali in his case.
Khan said in his plea that ECP had de-notified him from NA-95 Mianwali and disqualified him from NA-5.
It should be mentioned that Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was unseated from the NA-95 Mianwali-I constituency by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) following the Toshakhana reference.
Following Khan’s disqualification in the Toshakhana reference on October 21, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) denotified him from the NA-95 Mianwali-I constituency.
The commission also released a notification regarding this.
Imran Khan, a former prime minister and the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, was disqualified from the Toshakhana reference under Article 63(1) by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) (p).
The ECP claimed that Khan had filed a fake affidavit, had been discovered to have engaged in corrupt behaviour, and had been given the go-ahead to file criminal charges against the PTI chairman.
