ISLAMABAD: For suspected acts of violence during the protests, two terrorism-related complaints have been filed against the PTI leadership, including party chairman Imran Khan and secretary-general Asad Umar, as well as 100 other party members.
Following the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) decision to disqualify Khan and rule that the PTI chairman is no longer a member of the National Assembly, protests broke out all throughout the nation.On complaints from the federal government and the police, respectively, the cases were opened at the I-9 Police Station and the Sagjani Police Station.The case now includes ten offences, one of which is a violation of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
