With a cumulative week 1 gross of $3.6 million, The Legend of Maula Jatt by Bilal Lashari had a historically significant first week for a Pakistani movie worldwide (PKR 80.8 crore).This news comes shortly after The Legend of Maula Jatt, a joint production of Encyclomedia and Lashari films with AAA Motion Pictures and its distributors Mandviwalla Entertainment (Pakistan) and Moviegoers Entertainment (international), revealed that the film had a hugely successful debut in both domestic and international markets.
The biggest-grossing Punjabi-language movie produced in Pakistan to date made Rs510 million in its first weekend.The Legend of Maula Jatt will reportedly be shown on more than 100 extra screens throughout the world due to the popular movie’s high level of public demand, according to official reports.The largest media conglomerate in Pakistan, Geo Films, is the film’s presenting partner there.
