Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif and her actor-husband Vicky Kaushal don’t always have romantically charged chats. The two stars, who wed in December 2021, frequently talk about their jobs with one another. They enjoy making jokes about each other, with one being Kaushal getting the National Award but having to share it with someone.
In a recent interview, Katrina discussed the routine chat Vicky and she had over their respective movies. She also mentioned how Vicky had once assisted her in practising lines for her next movie, Merry Christmas.
We talk a lot about work, not necessarily for advise but just to chat, she told Film Companion. We enjoy making fun of one another. I’ll say things like, “You are a National Award-winning actor, but you still had to share it with someone,” to him. Everything will be taken in good fun; nothing will be taken seriously.
Despite the quips, Katrina appreciates Vicky’s “effortless” working approach. “Vicky’s best quality is that he doesn’t take himself too seriously, and everything about his method is so natural. No pressure or stress exists,” said Katrina.
After just reading it twice, Katrina was taken aback when Vicky performed a three-page scene with her. Vicky offered to assist her as she was practising for Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas. “Sriram had adjusted the setting in the evening, and we were filming the following morning for Merry Christmas,” the narrator said. Large talks and a three-page scene were there. He asked me if I should perform Vijay’s (Sethupathi) lines when I wanted to practise it.
