ISLAMABAD: On Friday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stated that it would appeal the disqualification of Imran Khan in the Toshakhana matter to the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Asad Umar, the PTI secretary general, made this known in a statement uploaded on his official Twitter account.
Speaking to the media outside the ECP, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry urged the populace to leave their houses “for their rights.”
“The revolution officially started today. The decision of ECP is a smack in the face to 220 million people, he claimed.
The ECP verdict, according to Fawad Chaudhry, was “authored by Nawaz Sharif and signed by his servants.”
Imran Khan, a former prime minister and the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, was disqualified by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) today for the Toshakhana reference under Article 63. (I).
