The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) campaigned for the NA-108 by-elections in Faisalabad, and a man who threatened to kill PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz was detained by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday.
It is important to note that the PML-N called for action against the man last week after he allegedly threatened to assassinate Maryam Nawaz. The suspect was detained in the Sitara Colony neighbourhood of Faisalabad a week after the FIA cybercrime division filed a case against him.
The PTI politician Qasim Suri was there while the individual was making threats against the PML-N leadership, according to a widely shared video.
Talal Chaudhry, the leader of the PML-N, also posted the video on Twitter, in which the man is heard threatening Maryam Nawaz if Imran Khan is forcibly detained.
Suri did not intervene when the suspect was making the threats, and the other PTI supporters can be heard applauding him in the footage.Imran Khan was held accountable by Talal for the threats. He pleaded with Pakistan’s police and election commission to act immediately because “we will go to any length to safeguard our leadership” if they don’t.
