Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, the chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), stated on Thursday that the use of technology in the education sector and the digital transformation of society were the topics of the day. He said that the HEC was assisting institutions in implementing smart classrooms, blended learning, and hybrid systems in light of modern requirements.
He was speaking at the International Islamic University’s closing ceremony for the 7th International Applied Business Research Conference. According to the Chairman of HEC, in order to succeed in the future, we must keep up with the pace of current technological advancements. He believed that the age of clever university ideology had replaced the age of structures and models.
During the worldwide pandemic, he said, the global education system had profited from clever university education. According to him, universities should adopt cloud computing while following HEC’s guidelines. He went on to say that technology needed to be used while bearing in mind the changes that would occur over the next decades.
According to Dr. Mukhtar, efforts are being made to implement a blended learning and hybrid system so that we won’t fall behind the rest of the world in the future.
He praised the International Islamic University Islamabad’s (IIUI) efforts in holding the conference on the most pertinent and significant subject and pledged his full support.
In his remarks, IIUI President Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi said that technology, which includes advancements like 3D printing, robotics, and artificial intelligence after the Internet, was responsible for the world’s rapid travel and development. In his opinion, the world grasped the significance of digital transformation at the same time that older items were replaced by innovations and technology throughout human history.
President IIUI provided an overview of the activities at the university and discussed the creation of the open and remote learning system, the campus management system, the new strategic plan, and the creation of the new IIUI organogram.
Drs. Ahmed Shuja Syed and Ayaz Afsar, the university’s vice presidents, also shared their opinions during the meeting.
More than 650 policymakers, business professionals, and academic researchers from the United States, Malaysia, and Turkey took part in the conference to exchange ideas and personal experiences on the topics of finance, technology management, entrepreneurship, management, and marketing in the context of the digital transformation and other recent advancements and industry needs.
Participants concurred that actions to boost export, data-driven governance, and digital transformation were the means to a prosperous future for the nation.
Prior to it, Dr. Abdul Raheman, the Conference Chair and Dean of the FMS Dean FMS informed the audience on the Conference’s goals. He spoke about resistance to change, digital transformation, and other conference themes.
The Conference’s academic chair, Dr. Fozia Syed, delivered the Conference’s findings and recommendations.
