WhatsApp Groups
According to reports, the meta-owned platform ‘WhatsApp’ is testing a new feature that will allow people to create larger WhatsApp groups of nearly 1024 participants. Currently, WhatsApp users can only add 512 people to a single WhatsApp group at a time.
According to the report, WhatsApp is also working on new tools to give admins more control over these larger groups in the future, such as a list of pending participants and an approval system.
When it is officially released worldwide, the feature will be available to all.
The feature will function similarly to how users currently add participants to WhatsApp groups. Telegram, the Meta-owned platform’s competitor, allows users to add up to 200,000 people to a group on the platform.
In the meantime, the platform just launched WhatsApp Premium, a new tool for corporate customers, for beta testers in some nations. Businesses can benefit from certain cutting-edge capabilities through WhatsApp Premium, including a better way to reach clients and some advantages when attaching new devices.
