Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has been discharged from the hospital and returned to Bilawal House after recovering from illness, according to his personal physician Dr Asim Hussain on Sunday.
After his health deteriorated, the former president was taken to a private hospital in Karachi on September 27.
Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, the PPP leader’s daughter, was present during the checkup by the three-member doctors’ team from Dubai. The doctors expressed no dissatisfaction with Zardari’s treatment, stating that the former president did not need to be transferred abroad at this time.
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, the former president’s daughter, previously revealed that her father was suffering from “post-Covid health concerns.”
She stated in a tweet that there was water near Zardari’s lungs, for which a procedure was performed a month ago.
