ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, the federal government acceded to the demands of the farmers who have been staging a sit-in in the capital for about a week.Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated at a press conference following the most recent round of negotiations with the farmers that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had established a committee to address the concerns of the protesters.
“Tomorrow, the committee and the farmers will negotiate. All of the farmer’s concerns will be addressed, “The protesters, who had been refusing to move for almost a week despite numerous meetings, were urged to abandon their sit-in by the interior minister.The minister also advised everyone who had joined the farmers in their sit-in to go home because a ministerial committee would be hearing all of their concerns.
