ISLAMABAD: Officials from the Ministry of Interior on Tuesday made it clear that Pakistanis living in the United Kingdom cannot have their identity cards and passports withdrawn solely for acting improperly toward parliamentarians.The clarification followed Ata Tarar, the special assistant to the prime minister, declaring that people who misbehaved with information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb in London will face consequences.
The interior ministry has made it clear that a person’s identity card and passport cannot be suspended due to their disruptive behaviour, and that further legislative requirements must be met in order to block these documents.At a press conference earlier today, Tarar denounced the situation that happened in London and promised that those responsible for mistreating Aurangzeb would face consequences.
