An explosion outside a mosque in the Afghan capital occurred as people were leaving afternoon prayers on Friday and left at least four people dead and 10 wounded, according to a neighbouring hospital.
The blast was the most recent in a string of fatal attacks that have targeted Friday prayers at mosques in recent months, some of which were claimed by the terrorist organisation ISIS.
After prayers, a bomb occurred as people attempted to leave the mosque, according to Kabul police spokesperson Khalid Zadran. “The actual number of casualties is not yet known, but all are civilians.”
