Actress Jacqueline Fernandez was sent a summons by the Delhi Police on Sunday asking her to appear before the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on September 19 for questioning in the money laundering case involving con artist Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
Earlier, the actress was questioned over eight hours in total at the EOW office.The Enforcement Directorate has accused Fernandez of various offences. The actress allegedly maintained contact with Sukesh despite being aware of his criminal record.
The following was said in a plea that Jacqueline submitted to the PMLA Appellate Authority: “The approach of ED, however, seems to be excessively mechanical and driven. Jacqueline was cited as an accuser while other celebrities who got gifts from Sukesh were called as witnesses.
