Red Bull team owner Christian Horner urged Formula One’s governing body on Saturday to refrain from making technical rule changes in the middle of a race to address the sport’s “porpoising” issues.
At a press conference following the British Grand Prix, Horner, whose team is currently leading both F1 world championships, stated that it was already too late to intervene and make changes for the current season. However, Mercedes made it clear that they support efforts to stop the “bouncing” problems two days after the governing International Motoring Federation (FIA) issued guidance notes about a “porpoising technical directive” to be introduced at the French Grand Prix (July 24).
In accordance with the directive, there will be a “bouncing” limit that will be tracked using a metric that measures vertical accelerations, “plank” (a device carried in the wear and flexibility.
It’s already too late, in Horner’s opinion, to introduce changes for the following year.
“For that, we have governance. What you carry over to the following year will depend on the costs involved, which are occasionally negative outcomes of changing your entire philosophical perspective.
This will have an impact on development and design. Stability is crucial and is the main means of achieving stable costs.
He predicted that the teams would find solutions on their own without the FIA getting in the way.
He said, “The cars will converge.”
The key is to not interfere with it; just leave it alone, and the teams will handle it.
Many other team owners supported Horner because they opposed any interference by the FIA in the rules or changes for 2023.
Stability is ultimately what matters most to us, according to Alfa Romeo team manager Fred Vasseur.
Mike Elliott, the technical director at Mercedes, acknowledged that his team suffered greatly from bouncing but declared that he was open to change.
The drivers claim that when there is heavy bouncing, it is uncomfortable and unsafe for them.
“I believe that is something that this sport must deal with, and as a result, the sport must adjust and change.
“The problem is that these vehicles were created to follow a set of “ground effect” rules in an effort to facilitate passing. Can you continue doing some of that while avoiding bouncing, is the question.”
After reviewing the most recent draught technical directive, he added that there was still a lot of work to be done.
“I believe it’s something the FIA is working on based on what we’ve heard.
To use that measurement, Baku is one competition from which we wouldn’t have managed to pass (the test), but late last night, we wouldn’t even have triggered the metric.
MANCHESTER: England’s opening match of Euro 2022 against Austria at Old Trafford is expected to be the most competitive women’s European Championship to date.
What to expect from the group stage is examined by AFP Sport:
After making it to the semifinals of their last three major competitions, the hosts must shoulder the burden of an entire nation hoping to win a women’s tournament for the first time.
Under the Dutch coach, who guided her country to Euro glory on home soil five years ago, the Lionesses are unbeaten in 14 games.
This includes scoring 68 goals without answering in eight World Cup qualifying matches against teams like Austria and Northern Ireland, who they will both face in Group A.
With all three of their group matches sold out, including the tournament opener at Old Trafford against Austria, England will also have strong backing from the crowd.
Two-time winners Norway pose the biggest threat with former Ballon d’Or winner Ada Hegerberg restored up front after a self-imposed five-year exile from international duty.
Northern Ireland is the only tournament debutants and Kenny Shiels’ side faces a daunting task if they are even to take a point from their three games in Southampton.
The toughest of the four groups sees tournament favorites Spain, eight-time winners Germany, and 2017 finalists Denmark battling for two places in the last eight.
Spain has yet to excel at a major competition, but they are fortunate to have the core of the Barcelona team, which had swept all before them in recent seasons until falling to Lyon in the Champions League final in May.
La Roja’s chances have been severely hurt by the injury to all-time leading scorer Jennifer Hermoso, but all eyes will be on Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas to make a lasting impression on the competition.
Germany is no longer the dominant force it once was in women’s sports.
When they lost 3-2 to Serbia in April, Martina Voss-team Tecklenburg’s suffered its first away World Cup qualifying defeat since 1998. They also placed last in the four-team Arnold Clark Cup, trailing England, Spain, and Canada two.
The actress uploaded a piece of music from the movie along with a note explaining how she handled losing a project she put a lot of work into.
Actress Yasra Rizvi spoke candidly about the cancellation of her movie SentiAurMental, and her frankness provided life lessons. Although the 39-year-old actor acknowledges the financial loss along with everyone’s efforts, especially her own as the film’s writer and director, she feels that her loss is actually her biggest asset in her journey towards her personal goals to be genuine and real.
Rizvi posted a song from the movie Tera Hashtag Ni to Instagram on Friday, resharing some leftovers from the abandoned project. She wrote, “I lost a lot of money and hard work shelving this venture probably because it wasn’t good enough work or maybe I evolved during all the waiting but, to be honest, it didn’t upset me as much as one would imagine.” When asked how the decision to keep the film as drought-affected her personally, she responded, “It didn’t upset me as much as one would imagine.”
She continued by saying that for her, daily efforts to improve one’s connection with oneself are what matter. “I still get out of bed, dress up (okay, I wear clothes), and go to work every day trying to be ME. The Churails actor remarked that she was “broken and defeated” and posed the question, “What’s better than becoming more YOU in the process?” “Her greatest asset is herself because that is what motivates her to continue thriving at her own pace.
Accepting that failures and setbacks are a natural part of life is another lesson to be learned from Rizvi’s book. She argued that since we will all pass away at some point, no one should let inescapable setbacks prevent them from living their best lives while they are still alive. “I mean, really, what have you got to lose? In the course of my life, I have experienced many losses followed by additional losses. What’s the problem if I gained it here and lost it here as well? We all have to pass away in the end. So lead a scandalous life and never second-guess following your heart! Simply go for it!
The captivating speaker from Manto expressed her appreciation to the cast members at the end of her speech. She included the following people in her tags: Irfan Khoosat, Beo Zafar, Nimra Bucha, Laila Wasti, Laila Zuberi, Saifi Hassan, Javed Jamal, Sajeer ud Din Khalifa, Sabiha Hashim, Sohail Sameer, Arez Ahmed, Faryal Mehmood, Zain Afzal, Jenaan Hussain, Faisal I’m
No matter how tragic or fantastical the love story is, it’s crucial that the actors have chemistry to make the audience feel the characters’ desire for one another. Saba Qamar and Hamza Khawaja were the “perfect example” of on-screen chemistry for Sarmad Khoosat’s Kamli universe. Some on-screen couples create unmatchable sparks, almost palpable energy.
After a successful four-week run in theatres, Khoosat posted a clip to his Instagram account showing Hina and Amaltas’s Qamar and Khwaja (Hina and Amaltas) gazing into each other’s deep eyes during a screen test before filming.
Going to look at their match, Khoosat was delighted that the actors truly personified the characters in addition to being sold on the on-screen couple.
Khoosat wrote, “The word chemistry is quite liberally used (and misused) for the dynamics that two (or more) actors exude on screen. The alchemy of such profound chemistry is a mystery to me. I’m not entirely sure of the recipe or alchemy behind it. Even though talking about my own work may come off as conceited, if there was ever going to be a picture-perfect representation of acting chemistry between two actors, this would be it.
He revealed additional information about the shot, saying that despite the stress of the actual shoot, the Akhri Station director slept soundly after this screen test. After many weeks of practice sessions and rehearsals, we finally recorded this screen test.
If I remember correctly, we only did two takes before calling the session a wrap. Despite my worries about the shoot the following morning, I slept soundly because I was happy and sure that these two gorgeous actors, Saba Qamar and Hamza Khawaja, ARE my Hina and Amaltas.
Sania Saeed, Nimra Bucha, and Omair Rana all play significant roles in the haunting story Kamli, which is about love, loss, and grief in a setting of conventional chaos.

JERUSALEM/RAMALLAH: Israel announced on Sunday that it would examine the bullet that killed a Palestinian-American journalist to see if one of its soldiers was responsible. A US observer would be present for the procedure, which could produce results in a matter of hours.
Israel would not participate in the ballistics, according to the Palestinians who on Saturday gave the bullet to a US security coordinator.
Washington has not yet responded. To commemorate July 4, there is a holiday weekend in the US.
A visit by US President Joe Biden that was scheduled for this month has been overshadowed by the death on May 11 of Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh during an Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank and disputes between the sides regarding the circumstances.
The Israeli military is accused by the Palestinians of intentionally killing her. Israel disputes this and claims that Abu Akleh may have been wounded by errant army fire or by one of the Palestinian assailants squaring off against its troops.
“The test won’t be conducted in the United States. The test will be conducted by Israel with American participation “said Brigadier-General Ran Kochav, spokesman for the Israeli military.
“We don’t have anything new at this time,” said an embassy spokesperson.
On July 13–16, Biden is anticipated to have separate meetings with the leaders of Israel and the Palestinians. The Abu Akleh case will be Yair Lapid, the new Israeli prime minister, a diplomatic and domestic test.
Lapid was involved in “managing the arrival and transfer of this bullet,” according to Yoav Segalovitz, the Israeli deputy minister of internal security.
The legal staff of Al Jazeera will compile a report on the murder of Abu Akleh for the ICC, along with outside legal experts.
The following is a statement made by Al Jazeera Media Network regarding the referral of Shireen Abu Akleh’s murder to the ICC:
The Network announced in a statement on Thursday that its legal team and international legal experts have joined forces to form an international legal coalition. The coalition is putting together a comprehensive case dossier to be delivered to the ICC Prosecutor.
The case file will contain information about Shireen Abu Akleh’s murder by the Israeli Occupation Forces outside the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank on May 11, 2022, as well as the Israeli bombing of Al Jazeera’s Gaza office in May 2021 and its complete destruction, as well as ongoing incitements and attacks on its journalists working in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Targeting war correspondents or journalists who work in conflict areas or occupied territories and killing or physically harming them is considered a war crime, according to Article 8 of the International Criminal Court’s Charter.
Shireen Abu Akleh’s murder is condemned by Al Jazeera Media Network.who worked with the Network for 25 years as a professional journalist covering the ongoing conflict in the occupied Palestinian territories. The Network vows to follow every path to achieve justice for Shireen, and ensure those responsible for her killing are brought to justice and held accountable in all international justice and legal platforms and courts.
Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, has filed an appeal with the London High Court to prevent his extradition to the United States to face criminal charges, according to his brother on Friday. This is the latest development in his protracted legal battle that has lasted more than ten years.
Assange, 50, is sought by US authorities on 18 counts, including one of espionage, in connection with WikiLeaks’ publication of sizable quantities of classified US diplomatic cables and military records, which Washington claimed had endangered lives.
Home Secretary Priti Patel approved his extradition last month, citing British courts’ findings that it would not violate his human rights and that he would receive appropriate treatment.
According to his brother Gabriel Shipton, the legal team representing the Australian-born Assange has filed an appeal with the High Court challenging that judgment. The appeal must be approved by the court in order to be heard, but it’s likely that it will take months to resolve the legal matter.
“We also call on the Australian government to get involved right away to put an end to this nightmare.
In Lahore, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf assembled in all four by-election districts to demonstrate in force against inflation and unchecked price increases as they viewed Imran Khan’s speech on large-screen televisions.
Women and children were among the numerous demonstrators who made it to the designated areas in the by-election constituencies. They were carrying banners, placards, and party flags with slogans critical of the foreign administration.
The existing administration, according to PTI Central Punjab President Dr. Yasmin Rashid, General Secretary Hammad Azhar, and party candidates, has crushed the masses and turned the country into a nightmare for the people. They said that while the poor majority couldn’t even afford two basic meals a day, the rulers were only interested in robbing the country of its wealth.
The PTI leaders claimed that load shedding and continually rising prices had forced the general public into a precarious situation. They claimed that in order to protect itself, the PML-N government kept busy fulfilling the IMF’s obligations while doing little to provide relief to the people.
Maryam Nawaz, vice president of the PML-N, claimed on Saturday that the PTI had assumed she would “not come out to address” the public due to the rising inflation, but she instead assured the populace that she is there for them during difficult times.
When speaking to party members in the PP-167 constituency, Maryam poked fun at Imran Khan’s claim that he wasn’t elected to know the price of fundamentals like potatoes and tomatoes. She said: “I am not as insensitive as him [Imran Khan] that I would say I am not here to know the price of essentials.
She declared, “I’m here to know the costs and to support the people.
Maryam began her address by asserting that there were more PML-N supporters from a single constituency in Green Town than there were at “fitna” Khan’s “historic gathering” on the Parade field in Islamabad.
At the same time, Khan and Maryam Nawaz spoke to their supporters in Islamabad and Lahore.
Because to the wrongdoings of the “fitna” Khan, Maryam claimed that the coalition government had to make certain difficult choices, such as raising the price of petroleum items.
She continued by saying that the coalition government would have helped the populace if Khan had kept something in the reserves.
Pakistan isn’t trusted by the IMF. According to Maryam, the coalition government received a message from the IMF that it does not trust Pakistan as a result of “fitna” Imran Khan’s wrongdoings.
She referred to the “fitna” Khan’s agreement with the Fund as a “poor bargain,” noting that the former prime minister made a U-turn by violating the provisions that.
“Nawaz and Shehbaz will rescue people from a disaster”
Speaking on behalf of the coalition government, Maryam stated that although while the current parties did not cause the problems, they still have a “duty” to help the populace.
She reaffirmed that Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the PML-N, and Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, will work hard to get the nation out of the crisis. She told the populace, “We [the coalition administration led by the PML-N] will attempt to solve any problems brought forth by ‘fitna’ Khan.
Maryam addressed the crowd and explained that she had come out to ask for assistance and support for the PML-N. “Fitna Khan worked tirelessly to make Pakistan resemble Sri Lanka, but his plan failed because the people had Fitna Khan worked very hard to make Pakistan resemble Sri Lanka, but his strategy failed because the populace had faith in the lion (PML-N), she claimed.
A lota is who? By giving the position to his “puppet,” Usman Buzdar, the PTI chairman, according to the PML-N leader, was “looting the mandate of the people of Punjab.” Farah Bibi, a close adviser to former first lady Bushra Bibi, was “forced” on Punjab, a region with more than 120 million residents, she claimed.
Maryam defined a “lota” as a person who joins the government from the opposition, but all the members of the coalition government were individuals who joined the opposition after leaving the PTI-led government.

India extended their impressive start against England at Edgbaston on Saturday, with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja striking a century. Stuart Broad gave up the most expensive over in Test history, costing 35 runs.
In their first innings, India was all out for an astounding 416 runs. In their second, England was reduced to 16-1 runs when stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah, who is also Broad’s primary batting enemy, dismissed Alex Lees with the final ball of the fifth Test’s second day due to rain.
Broad had become just the sixth bowler to take 550 Test wickets when he lost his composure by repeatedly bowling too short at Bumrah, deputising as skipper for the Covid-hit Rohit Sharma, in a forlorn effort to intimidate the tailender.
Bumrah batting at No 10 and facing the new ball, dismantled Broad’s figures during the course of eight remarkable deliveries. The six legitimate balls were thrashed for 23 runs, including four fours and a six.
The 36-year-old Broad also sent down a wide that went all the way over the head of wicketkeeper Sam Billings for four and a no-ball Bumrah top-edged for six.
Astonishingly, the over might have been even more expensive had Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar called a no-ball for a high full toss.
The previous record of 28 runs in a Test over had been achieved on three occasions in the format’s 145-year history, with Broad’s team-mates James Anderson and Joe Root two of the bowlers on the receiving end.
Broad did not get a chance to make amends with the ball, although he did end the innings by catching last man Mohammad Siraj.
Ton-up Jadeja India, who resumed on their overnight 338-7, smashed 78 runs in 11.5 overs — proof that not only England under their leadership duo of captain Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullunm can bat aggressively in a Test match.
Stokes set the tone for what followed with a ragged opening spell as Jadeja converted his overnight 83 not out into the third century of his 60-Test career and first overseas.
Matthew Potts could have had him out for 92 but a thick edge off the shoulder of the bat split slips Zak Crawley and Joe Root before heading to the boundary.
Jadeja had been the junior partner in a stand of 222 with Rishabh Pant, who hit a rapid 146, that rescued India from the depths of 98-5 on Friday after Stokes had won the toss.
But one ball after his reprieve, he took centre stage by cutting Potts for four to complete a 183-ball century including 13 boundaries.
Broad then achieved his landmark wicket when Jack Leach caught Mohammed Shami.
Anderson bowled Jadeja for 104 with the new ball and then ended the innings when Siraj holed out to finish with 5-60 in 21.5 overs.
India are 2-1 up in a five-match series.
This decider should have been played in Manchester last September only to be postponed just hours before the start because of coronavirus concerns within the India camp.
With “the umpires” siding with the government, PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday cautioned his party’s members and supporters to be vigilant of cheating during the impending by-elections in Punjab.
At a protest against inflation, political unrest, excessive load-shedding, and ongoing gasoline price increases, Imran voiced his worries in front of party members in the public at Islamabad’s Parade Ground. “Punjab will soon hold 20 by-elections. Rigging is their only chance of success. However, the umpires are on their side despite public opposition “he said “We must overthrow these robbers despite their umpires,”
Imran, who frequently refers to the administration as “imported” and maintains that it was overthrown by the US through a “conspiracy,” added, “No matter what strategy they employ… whether they rig the poll or deploy the police, the populace would never accept them.”
Last Saturday, he had announced the event, saying that it would be staged for the residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, while residents of other large cities will have their own local protests.
Imran began by outlining his reasoning for deciding to call off his lengthy march on May 26. “I anticipated chaos that evening and that people would have to confront the cops,”
After Ravindra Jadeja completed his third Test century, India’s first out-and-out fast-bowler captain (Kapil Dev was an allrounder), Jasprit Bumrah broke a record held by Brian Lara even before he came on to bowl, scoring 29 in a 35-run over from Stuart Broad, both a world record for most runs by a batter in an over and the most expensive over in Test cricket.
Max Verstappen looked borderline untouchable throughout most of a sodden qualifying session at the British Grand Prix. But a spin from rival Charles Leclerc on the Monegasque’s final flying lap in Q3 saw Verstappen forced to settle for a philosophical P2, behind maiden pole-winner Carlos Sainz.
No driver could get within four-tenths of Verstappen through the opening two segments of qualifying, the Dutchman in scintillating form after the heavens had opened at Silverstone 10 minutes ahead of the session start.
But a spin from Verstappen on his first flying lap proven an ill portent, with provisional pole-sitter Verstappen then forced to lift off the throttle on his final lap when Leclerc spun in front on him – as Sainz came from nowhere to claim his maiden pole position, leaving Verstappen second.
“I think it was a good qualifying,” said Verstappen. “The car was working really well, I felt comfortable. Just in Q3, it can be a little bit of a lottery, and I had a yellow flag on my final lap, so I had to back out of it a bit in the final corners, which at the end cost me pole.
“But these things can happen. In the wet especially, everything needs to work well for you and it didn’t for me in the final lap. But overall our car is very good in dry and wet conditions so that’s also I think really important for tomorrow… Anything is possible for tomorrow.”
Asked to comment on the first pole of his former Toro Rosso team mate Sainz, meanwhile, Verstappen replied generously: “It was good from Carlos, I think he had also a very solid qualifying. You can see it’s all the time very close between all of us up front, so we’re going to give it a good go and hopefully we can finish ahead.”
2022 British GP Qualifying: Verstappen’s dramatic save in the wet at Silverstone
Verstappen was backed up by Sergio Perez in P4, as Mercedes’ expected renaissance didn’t quite materialise, Lewis Hamilton P5 as George Russell took P8. But while Perez too was hindered by Leclerc’s spin, he was also confident for the race.
“It wasn’t ideal, but on the other hand, it wasn’t too disappointing in a way towards the end,” said Perez. “I had Charles [spinning] right ahead of me, so my last two laps were not ideal, maybe there was a bit more in it, but P4, we can fight from there… and hopefully tomorrow in the race, we’re able to be a lot more competitive.”
Red Bull team boss Christian Horner, meanwhile, revealed his shock that Verstappen had still managed to set a competitive time on the lap where he spun in Q3, saying: “He did a 180 and he only lost two seconds as he crossed the line, that was the ridiculous thing about it… It wasn’t part of the plan but Max likes to find the limit. It was just a shame he didn’t get that last lap but to still end up on the front row, after a tricky session like that, is a good place to be.”
Red Bull now go in search of their first British Grand Prix win since Mark Webber’s triumph a decade ago – while Verstappen will look to emulate his 70th Anniversary Grand Prix Silverstone win from 2020.
India vs England, 5th Test, Day 2 Highlights: Riding on Jasprit Bumrah’s 3/35 and a wicket each from Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj, India reduced England to 84/5 on Day 2 of the ongoing fifth Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Bumrah led from the front as he dismissed England openers Alex Lees and Zak Crawley before claiming the wicket of Ollie Pope to put India in complete control against the hosts. The stand-in India captain was on top his powers on Saturday with his all-round abilities. Before shining with the ball, Bumrah had scored a quickfire 31 not out off 16. Earlier, Rishabh Pant (146) and Ravindra Jadeja (104) hit centuries as India posted a total of 416 all out against England. Stuart Broad took his 550th Test wicket, but also bowled the most expensive over in Test cricket history — conceding 35 runs. James Anderson returned figures of 5/60 while Matthew Potts scalped two for 105. (SCORECARD)

Bitcoin (BTC) needs to go lower before putting in a macro bottom, one of the market’s most accurate indicators shows.
Data from sources including on-chain analytics firm Glassnode shows Bitcoin’s MVRV-Z Score is almost — but not quite — signaling a price reversal.
MVRV-Z Score inches towards macro bottom
Amid ongoing debate whether if, or when, BTC/USD will go beyond its current macro lows of $17,600, new figures suggest that the market easily has further to fall.
As noted by Filbfilb, co-founder of trading suite Decentrader, the MVRV-Z score is now in its classic green zone, but not yet at the point which has accompanied price bottoms in the past.
MVRV-Z measures how high or low the Bitcoin spot price is relative to what is referred to as its “fair value.”
It uses market cap and realized price data along with standard deviation to create what has turned out to be one of the most efficient Bitcoin top and bottom prediction tools.
MVRV-Z has caught every macro top and bottom on BTC/USD in its history, and done so with an accuracy of two weeks, data resource LookIntoBitcoin notes.
The metric has only gone below its green zone a handful of times, the last being in March 2020, but more downside pressure would deliver a repeat performance.
“This chart is *the one* for me,” Filbfilb commented about the latest readings.

$16,000 bottom zone gains traction
$15,600 would tie in with various existing predictions of where Bitcoin is due to bottom.
In an update to Twitter followers at the weekend, meanwhile, popular account CryptoBullet included that area as one of several important support zones to watch.
$16,000, it confirmed, also marks the average deviation from Bitcoin’s 50-month moving average.
Bitcoin’s relative strength index, or RSI, is already at its lowest ever, another indication of the oversold nature of a market now below its previous halving cycle’s peak of nearly $20,000.

Expected to reach a market size of $128 billion by 2028, the longevity sector is no longer something that those outside the medical world can ignore. In the next few years, life-extending technologies and treatments for aging-related diseases will reach human trials. There is an exciting wave of development happening in research labs and technology centers across the globe, with more and more early adopters embarking on their longevity journeys.
As I’ve remarked in my earlier article, the crypto community would do well to learn more and engage in the growing longevity field. Longevity not only incorporates disruptive technologies, such as artificial intelligence and distributed ledger technologies but also has a visionary spirit and is supported by stakeholders dedicated to improving the human aging experience.
To share more about this up-and-coming sector, I spoke with three individuals about their alignment with longevity science and why they want you to know about the opportunities afforded by embracing longevity. The sector has already shown tremendous support in favor of the industry. The insights from one of the world’s foremost longevity physicians, the founder of the world’s leading full-service blockchain technology company, are unique but share a common theme: It is time for the world to pay attention to what the future holds for human lifespans.
Evelyne Yehudit Bischof, chair of the Longevity Science Foundation visionary board
“As a longevity physician, my goal is to maintain or even improve the quality of life for someone. But the term ‘longevity’ conjures images of living longer. But it’s more than just that. Life has to be fulfilling. It has to be fun. In longevity medicine, it is essential to focus on physical health as well as behavioral and mental health. All these pieces fit to make a healthy human.”
“In general, I am not a fan of sweeping recommendations. I like personalization. I like structure. I especially like structure when developing treatment trajectories for a patient. Of course, there is a foundation of longevity that incorporates common themes. However, I do not have typical recommendations for everybody.”
“I look at the unique characteristics of each patient in several different categories. The first category is metabolic optimization. This category encompasses nutritional improvements, exercise and hormones. Some people are athletes, and I also work with pre- and post-menopausal women. Some patients are preparing for pregnancy. These unique characteristics factor into the recommendations.”
“The second category is sleep. Many people underestimate how important sleep is to maintaining healthy bodily functions. As part of patient evaluation, I look at how easily the patient falls asleep and how optimal the sleep is based on oxygen levels, the number of apnea episodes, and more.”
“The third optimization area is cognition. Neurodegeneration is a significant concern for individuals as they age, and optimizing this area requires early prevention of any cognitive decline or neurosurgical health. Cognition also includes mental health. I am trained in psychiatry, so mental health is essential to me. A lot of people are already on antipsychotics or antidepressants. I meet patients where they are and help them achieve their goals of improving mental health.”
“As you can see, we very much focus on the granular level in longevity treatment. We focus on all aspects of a person to ensure treatments work in harmony. Physicians and patients need to remember that flexibility is key for any medical success. Longevity treatment should be just as flexible.”
Val Vavilov, founder and chief visionary officer of Bitfury and member of the Longevity Science Foundation patrons board
“My interest in longevity began as a personal one. Running a global, billion-dollar company takes a toll on you. To achieve our mission, I realized that I needed to optimize not only my health but also my physical, emotional, mental and spiritual development. Health is usually one of the first things people neglect when they are focused elsewhere.”
“I started reading about everything that was considered cutting-edge in the field, from intermittent fasting to veganism. I even went as detailed to evaluate the micronutrients of different fruits and vegetables I was eating to balance them. When you start researching these things, you will eventually come to the field of longevity because longevity is all about the optimization of your life and health. That speaks to the engineer in me. We look at what we can optimize and how to do it. I spent more than a year optimizing my health, food, sleep — everything. And now, I feel better than I did in my 20s!”
“I became a patron of the Longevity Science Foundation because I genuinely believe longevity should not just belong to one group of people. Everyone deserves access to the tools and science to live longer and healthier lives. I support the mission of the foundation to democratize access to this information because everyone has the right to it. Longevity should be shared.”
“What is the point of living a longer and healthier life if you are the only person benefiting from it? What kind of a world will you inherit? How can you build a better one if you are alone? Longevity is a crucial piece of our collective future. Crypto, blockchain and Web3 make it easier for us to work together and support each other — while protecting ourselves. Longevity science means we can do that while living longer, being healthier and being happier. In other words: A better existence is out there for humans if we collaborate and create more open systems accessible to everyone.”
Maja Vujinovic, managing director of OGroup and member of the Longevity Science Foundation patrons board
“I’ve been an early pioneer in emerging technologies since 2005, entering spaces, such as mobile payments, renewable energy, the Internet of Things, CRISPR and cryptocurrencies, years before they reached mainstream understanding and recognition. Working at this leading edge requires one to constantly question the status quo and to search for optimization. I’m bringing the same pioneering attitude to longevity: There is more to longevity medicine than the extension of life. It’s about nudging our evolutionary engine. It is a challenging yet thrilling quest.”
“Our ancestors had countless challenges to overcome as we moved from caves to dwellings to tribes to cities to where we are now. We had to deal with predators, disease, famine, war, infection. While many of these challenges still exist, we have defenses against many of them. These are defenses that we developed outside of ourselves. There was nothing evolutionary about them. Today, it is a combination of internal and external development that is furthering society. Thanks to incredible technological breakthroughs, we are able to access products that aid in our evolutionary process.”
“However, our biological evolution has been outpaced by a technological revolution. Simply put, the human brain cannot advance with the same inertia as current technological progress. This might seem like a scary concept, but it’s also an exciting one. This unprecedented progress is inspiring. I see this spirit in the crypto community, and I see it again in longevity medicine. There is a powerful movement to improve the way existing systems like the financial sector function by disrupting and democratizing them. I see the longevity thesis as a disruptor of the way we age.”
“Longevity medicine is about the balance of technology and our own awareness to be more present and a reminder of the basics. In some aspects, our quality of life is even worse than that of our ancestors, as we have less time to do the things we love. Our appetite for connection is decreasing as a result of constant technology usage and less human interaction. Thus, longevity is about making a plan for yourself that looks beyond a pill, injection, hyperbaric chamber or an expensive health spa. Instead, it is about establishing a daily routine and lasting, sustained change versus mindless, endless growth for the sake of growth. It requires planning, restrategizing our healthcare costs, and upgrading where it makes sense.”
“You commit to that in your work. Are you ready to do that for your life?”

Various factors impacting Bitcoin’s price include the supply and demand of BTC, competition from other cryptocurrencies and news, cost of production and regulation.
Supply and demand
Those with a background in economics are aware of the law of supply and demand. However, if you are unfamiliar with this concept, let’s help you to understand. As per this law, supply and demand market forces work together to determine the market price and the quantity of a specific commodity. For instance, the demand for an economic good declines as the price increases, and sellers will produce more of it or vice-versa.
An event called Bitcoin halving impacts the Bitcoin’s price like the situation in which the supply of BTC decrease whereas the demand for BTC increases. As a result of the high demand, the price of BTC will move upward.
Moreover, Bitcoin was created by Satoshi Nakamoto with a 21 million BTC hard cap. That said, miners will no longer receive new Bitcoin for confirming transactions once that cap has been reached. The four-year halving of block rewards might not affect the price of BTC at that point. The things that will determine Bitcoin’s value will instead be its real-life applications.
Competition and news
BTC faces competition from altcoins like Ethereum (ETH) and meme coins like Dogecoin (DOGE), making portfolio diversification appealing to investors. Any upgrades by the existing cryptocurrencies might drive BTC’s price down in contrast to a completely different scenario in which Bitcoin was the only existing digital currency. Due to media coverage, you may want to buy crypto assets with a positive outlook and ignore those with a shady future.
Cost of production
Production costs for Bitcoin include infrastructural expenses, electricity charges for mining and the difficulty level of the mathematical algorithm (indirect cost). The various levels of difficulty in BTC’s algorithms can slow down or speed up the currency’s production pace, impacting Bitcoin’s supply, which, in turn, affects its price.
Regulation
Cryptocurrency regulations are constantly changing, from countries like El Salvador accepting it as a legal tender to China formally banning crypto transactions. The price of BTC could decrease if there is concern over a specific government’s decision against cryptocurrencies. Additionally, regulatory uncertainty will create fear among investors, dipping Bitcoin’s value even further.
Hong Kong has significantly aided China’s economic miracle: X Chinese President Xi Jinping claimed on Friday that Hong Kong had made immeasurable contributions to China’s long-term, steady, and rapid economic development. According to the CGTN, he stated that since its return to the motherland, Hong Kong has served as an important bridge and window connecting the Chinese mainland with the rest of the world.
Xi made the remarks at a meeting commemorating the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland and the inaugural ceremony of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s sixth-term government (HKSAR).
He said the region had overcome numerous challenges and was moving forward steadily, adding that none of the challenges had slowed Hong Kong’s progress. He stated that Hong Kong’s economy had grown rapidly, maintaining its solid status as an international financial, shipping, and trade center, with a rapid rise of innovative technology industries, world-leading freedom and openness, and a world-class business environment. Xi Jinping stated that Hong Kong would only prosper if its young people thrive, and he urged them to join the efforts to build a better Hong Kong.
“We should care for and love young people,” he said. “Hong Kong will prosper only when its youth thrive; Hong Kong will develop only when its youth development; and Hong Kong will have a future only when its youth have a future.”
When cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) go through bear phases like the one we currently find ourselves in, the idea of earning passive income from one’s holdings becomes all the more attractive for long-term investors.
Different methods such as staking, lending, cloud mining, and yield farming have become popular in the past few years and involve rewarding investors with money or tokens for the crypto tokens invested in the mechanism.
However, with hard forks or airdrops, users who are active in the crypto ecosystem can forage for tokens or projects that offer additional tokens in proportion to their vested holdings as a reward for a variety of reasons.
Since both are intended at increasing the popularity of the project or as part of a promotional campaign, hard forks and airdrops work differently and come into existence through completely unique mechanisms.
Let us look at what differentiates crypto airdrops from hard forks and how one can benefit from them when invested in the crypto market for the long term.
What is a crypto airdrop and how does it work?
Considered to be like manna from heaven for crypto fans willing to experiment with different projects, crypto airdrops require minimum technical knowledge and potentially lower risks.
A crypto airdrop is a gratuitous distribution of a cryptocurrency coin or token to existing token holders, also known as token giveaways colloquially. Usually associated with the launch of a new project or cryptocurrency, the intent of an airdrop is to gain more user traction in a market that is flooded with thousands of crypto tokens and coins.
Purely promotional in nature, users do not have control over when an airdrop might occur, and it is usually done by developers or crypto entrepreneurs to reward existing token holders with additional tokens or coins for free.
The quantum of tokens awarded is based on the invested amount or contributions made toward a project and is similar to how traditional brands offer freebies to popularize a new product offering.
There are two types of crypto airdrops: retroactive airdrops and takeover airdrops, with key differences between the two being at which stage they are being offered and their specific purpose.
A retroactive airdrop is generally announced when an existing blockchain protocol is planning to unveil its native crypto token and rewards early users or those who have contributed to the project prior to a particular date.
It is a very popular tool for creating hype around the soon-to-be-launched token. Meanwhile, it also serves as a liquidity creation mechanism and helps with audience engagement by awarding tokens in exchange for retweets, feedback or even increasing followers on social media.
Takeover airdrops are employed when decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols want to snatch users away from the competition or increase their chances of retaining them by offering greater rewards.
While it is a comparatively more aggressive form of an airdrop, takeover airdrops are targeted at liquidity providers and users who have displayed higher engagement in activities such as staking so as to attract them away from a competing DeFi protocol.
DeFi aggregator 1INCH conducted a number of airdrops with the specific intention of enticing rival Uniswap users to shift to its platform, rewarding specific user sets in a series of airdrops and acting as a classic example of how free crypto airdrops are utilized.
Advantages and disadvantages of crypto airdrops
They have long been considered an unorthodox form of radical marketing in the crypto space, but crypto airdrops have become increasingly popular. Innumerable projects use this method to spur the adoption of their new crypto tokens.
Airdrops offer superlative benefits for crypto entrepreneurs and investors alike, making them the most preferred marketing tool to create initial hype and catalyze user traction — two elements that are critical for a new coin’s success.
For crypto firms aiming to launch a native token for their blockchain or DeFi protocol, crypto airdrops are possibly the simplest and most cost-effective mode of advertising in the crypto world today. Even though it involves expending a lot of tokens, and that, too, for free, these form a rather small portion of the overall tokens to be brought into circulation and are a sure-shot way of generating excitement among other crypto token holders as they see users earn crypto from the free airdrops.
On the flip side, airdrops can have a negative implication if too many tokens are given as part of the airdrop, diluting the market value of the token and impacting the token’s price in the process. Moreover, most of the addresses that receive the airdrop could sell the received tokens immediately once it is listed, which will again exert downward pressure on the token’s price. For users, it is also important to conduct due research to weed out dump airdrops or crypto scams that are getting more sophisticated with time.
If the token increases in popularity and demand, these airdropped tokens can potentially generate even more returns as the value of the token increases in tune. By simply following a project on its various social media handles or by sharing news about it with friends, crypto airdrops reward crypto users with free tokens that can be worth hundreds of dollars, with absolutely no strings attached.
In fact, for crypto wallet holders or those holding specific crypto tokens, airdrops are a great way of making good profits on what is basically a zero investment and can be a great way of generating passive income in the crypto markets. All one needs to do is to stay tuned to projects or companies that are slated to offer airdrops and take advantage of them.
Thus, not only can you make money from crypto airdrops by immediately selling the received tokens on a crypto exchange, you can opt to hold them for a longer duration and potentially increase the chances of generating even more returns.
What are hard forks and how do they work?
More often than not, blockchain protocols undergo alterations to produce a new blockchain that runs in parallel with the original but may differ in terms of the end utility that it offers to users and token holders.
One of the most prominent examples of such a parallel blockchain is the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) fork, creating a P2P cash system in the process from what is essentially a Bitcoin hard fork.
There are other Bitcoin forks such as Bitcoin Gold, and they demonstrate how hard forks are created by changing the base protocol’s code to create a parallel version of it that is intended for a different purpose.
Moreover, since the newly created blockchain requires a native token for its users to transact with, a hard fork results in the creation of a new crypto token and creates value for those who were invested in the original coin.
A notable example of this was when each BTC holder received an equivalent amount of BCH tokens in August 2017, generating sizable returns considering a listing price of $900 for Bitcoin Cash on cryptocurrency exchanges.
With an increasing number of new blockchain protocols being created and many more branching out through hard forks, it is easy to see how investors can benefit from hard forks without assuming high risks.
However, not all hard forks originate from an intention to create a new system, with some being the product of a crypto debacle. Take the example of the Ethereum hard fork, Ethereum Classic (ETC), which even supports a different consensus mechanism and has the native ETC token that can be exchanged on cryptocurrency exchanges freely.
Hived off from the “official” Ethereum blockchain, it came into existence in response to the attack on Ethereum’s most notable project, The DAO, and issued tokens to all existing ETH holders in a 1:1 ratio.
Originally intended as a new decentralized business model for commercial and non-profit entities, The DAO was subject to a vulnerability attack which led to a few users siphoning off one-third of its funds to a secondary account.
When the Ethereum community voted to hard-fork the original blockchain in order to restore the lost funds, it split the blockchain into two branches and the unforked blockchain was renamed Ethereum Classic.
For discerning investors, there are many opportunities often available to invest in blockchain protocols before a hard fork and potentially take advantage of the additional new tokens on offer. However, it is important to conduct thorough research and invest only in those tokens that have sound fundamentals in order to make money from hard forks.
Pros and cons of hard forks
Hard forks provide developers with the opportunity to add new functionalities without having to alter the original blockchain, especially when it has a huge user base that would not like any changes to be made.
It also involves less computational power than employing a soft fork and provides more privacy too.
What’s more, token holders and investors are issued extra hard fork tokens, which can be immediately monetized or held to benefit from long-term appreciation, a scenario with a high probability if the hard fork succeeds in its objective and gains prominence in the crypto space.
However, this may not always be the case, as demonstrated by BCH, which is trading near all-time lows since its issuance in 2017.
Apart from the chances of price erosion, users of the hard fork face a higher risk of losing their token holdings in the light of an attack. Because a hard fork occurs as a result of the underlying blockchain being split, it is often perceived as detrimental to the security of the network, making them more vulnerable to malicious attacks.
This is especially true if the split occurs between the nodes and miners, as it exposes the blockchain and its fork to bad actors who could use their computing power to overcome the network to steal funds.
Irrespective of the type of attack, the intention is either to undermine the network’s reputation, which could lead to price erosion for the native token, or to steal funds from the network itself and divert them to accounts on another network.
This would result in investors losing capital on the hard fork tokens as well as the original token. Therefore, it is important to research the actual improvements being made in a hard fork and whether the developers have taken the necessary precautions to insulate the fork from any attack.
Investors can benefit from hard forks if they stay abreast of the latest developments and spot the right opportunities to generate income by earning crypto through hard forks.
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan announced on Saturday that the government has decided to ensure complete coverage of the Islamabad Safe City Project’s CCTV cameras during the current fiscal year.
The minister told a press conference here that the Safe City Project was critical to ensuring effective security, preventing crime, and effectively maintaining law and order in any city in the country, including Islamabad.
Currently, only 30% of Safe City Project cameras provide coverage, but the Prime Minister has decided to increase that to 100% during the current fiscal year. Immediately, a sum of Rs 40 million was released to the Safe City Authority to install cameras in all critical locations, he said.
The minister stated that the IG Islamabad and the DG Safe City Authority have been directed to prepare a feasibility study for complete coverage. He added that funds for the project would be released within a week of the feasibility study’s completion.
He also stated that the government intended to build 100-bed hospitals for Islamabad police, with a budget of Rs 5 billion. The PM plans to lay the groundwork for the hospital this month, for which Rs 300 million has already been allocated. He stated that every effort would be made to finish the project during the current fiscal year.
Similarly, FC’s demand has been accepted, and their salaries and ration allowances totaling Rs 1.5 billion have been agreed to in part with ‘Jawans’ from other security forces.
He stated that the FC previously lacked anti-riot equipment and that funds have now been provided to equip the force with appropriate equipment as well as anti-riot training for its 2000 personnel. He added that it would require approximately Rs 667 million, which had already been arranged. Sana Ullah praised the police team and other intelligence officials for killing a notorious terrorist Bilal, who was involved in heinous crimes such as the assassination of DC Nauman Ahsan and other innocent citizens.
Tyler Adams has emerged as Leeds United’s top summer transfer target, with the United States international midfielder ready to leave RB Leipzig in favour of a move to England. The New York born youngster has been touted as a replacement for Kalvin Phillips, who looks set to leave Elland Road for Man City on a £45 million transfer deal.
Once a move for Phillips has been formally concluded, Leeds United are expected to make a move for Adams. There have been conficting reports regarding the transfer deal for the American, with talk of both a loan move and a 30 million euro transfer move suggested.
Adams has been with Leipzig since 2019, and prior to that the youngster worked his way through the ranks at New York Red Bulls for 9 years.
Leeds will be looking to complete a transfer deal quickly for the prized midfielder, as numerous European sides are looking to add the youngster to their squad. Sevilla and Lyon have both been in contact with Leipzig regarding a potential move.
Adams played in 37 games in all competitions last season.
DOHA: The national football team of Pakistan is ranked 200th out of 211 teams in the FIFA world rankings, but the country’s more than 200 million people will still feel a part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals, which will be held in Doha this winter. Pakistan, along with China, is supplying the footballs for the upcoming mega event, which will be held in the winter rather than the summer due to the hot weather in Qatar’s capital. “We have been chosen to supply footballs for the World Cup once again, which is an honor for us and a testament to the quality we have maintained,” said Khawaja Masood Akhtar, chairman of forwarding Sports, a contracting manufacturer of global sports brand footballs.
Workers at the company’s sprawling facility on the outskirts of Sialkot are putting in extra hours to ensure the footballs arrive on time. The city, which borders India, is well-known for producing high-quality sporting goods and has long supplied footballs for major events. Sialkot’s main strength is not the production of high-quality footballs. It also exports sporting goods such as cricket bats, hockey sticks, and gleaming (cricket and hockey) balls, as well as other accessories such as kits, shoes, and gloves.

According to Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, president of the FPCCI, the business community supports the transformation of Pakistan’s economy and banking system to a Riba-free system in accordance with the decision of the Federal Shariat Court (FSC), which requires the elimination of Riba (interest) from the economy and banking system over a five-year period. The FSC has set 2027 as the deadline for a complete ban on interest, citing it as sufficient time to implement the decision. According to the verdict, the government must make the necessary regulatory changes to facilitate the transition to an interest-free financial system.
To avoid the ills and risks associated with an interest-based system, the FPCCI Chief has called for the transformation of Pakistan’s economy and financial system into an equitable, asset-based, risk-sharing, and interest-free economy.
Mr. Irfan Iqbal Sheikh maintained that Islamic banking has been successfully and prudently expanding its operations in Pakistan, and that the market share of Islamic banking deposits and assets in the total banking industry was 19.4pc and 18.6pc, respectively, for the year 2021.
