As a result, the medical team has discovered 12 locations, and everything has been submitted to forensics. “Only the forensics [report] will be able to tell if torture took place or not,” he said, noting that Sharif’s case was very sensitive and that everything needed to be confirmed properly.
Masood said once again that the board has not received a post-mortem report from Kenya in answer to a query. The PTI official spokesman for the Punjab government was met with vehement opposition by a diverse crowd, including many elderly people, who were upset over the closed road. PTI member Fiazul Hasan Chohan and his staff shut down traffic on the major Murree Road between Rehmanabad and Faizabad. Chohan was confronted by locals, particularly elderly residents, who harshly condemned his roadblocks. They said that despite his lip service to Riasat-e-Madina, Imran Khan was actively working to sow discord throughout the nation. Roads were reportedly being blocked by PTI members on Imran Khan’s orders.
After telling the demonstrators to clear the road, Fiazul Hasan Chohan departed the scene. Chohan told the press that they did not end their protest but rather reopened the major road. He insisted that the demonstrations were nonviolent. He said that protests would go on until Imran Khan gave additional orders.
Residents of the garrison city have given a resounding response to the PTI’s declaration on demonstrations, both peaceful and otherwise. They were confused by his claim of peaceful protests when PTI supporters were seen burning tyres and throwing stones at passing cars.
In interviews with The News, residents of all walks of life voiced their outrage at the ineffectiveness of the local government and the Punjab Police in protecting them. Rawalpindi has become increasingly tense as road blockades on Murree Road and other major arteries have persisted for five days with little intervention from local police.
Main roads are blocked by protesters who have set up their camps along them, forcing drivers and riders to seek out alternate routes. The public inconvenience was compounded by the suspension of local public transportation services and the Metro Bus Service.
As protests against the attempted assassination of former prime minister Imran Khan continued, the main Murree Road between Rehmanabad and Faizabad was closed. In order to shut down traffic on Murree Road, protesters lit tyres on fire and piled them up on both sides.
All public and private institutions in Rawalpindi were ordered closed once again on Thursday, per a notice issued by the city’s deputy commissioner. As a result of the widespread lawlessness, schools, both public and private, were ordered closed for three days.
As a result of the traffic jams, the ambulance service was halted, and several vehicles taking patients to hospitals became stuck. Members of the PTI gathered in Shamsabad, off Murree Road, to burn tyres and chant against the government.
India would get a proper reaction if it attacks AJK, according to President Sultan.
Any aggression against AJK or misadventure by India, according to Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, would be met with an appropriate response.

One appointment that affects everyone said, Sheikh Rashid
Sheikh Rashid, the leader of the Awami Muslim League of Pakistan (AMLP), referred to the appointment of the army commander and stated that one appointment is heavy on everybody, adding that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif chose fights with everyone he nominated. The former interior minister took to Twitter to criticize Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying that Sharif was first thought to have attended the Climate Implementation Summit in Egypt but was subsequently located in London. Rashid further by saying that Arshad Sharif, a prominent journalist, had to take his mother to the Supreme Court to get the autopsy results, and that this news “broke the hearts of the whole nation.”
An Oath-taking ceremony is held for the three newly promoted Supreme Court justices.
The three new Court justices took their oaths of office on Friday in ISLAMABAD before Dunya News’ Justice Umar Ata Bandial, the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Justice Athar Minallah, Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi, and Justice Shahid Waheed all took their oaths of office as judges in Pakistan’s highest court, the SC, at a recent ceremony.
In addition to judges and lawyers, law officers, court officers, and staff were present for the oath-taking.
With the addition of the three new judges, the Supreme Court now has a full complement of fifteen members; however, two additional judgeships remain unfilled.
Article 175A of the Constitution provides for the elevation of three judges to the Supreme Court, and on Wednesday President Arif Hussain Alvi signed a summary recommending this action.
It was revealed on Thursday that the political gathering in London had failed to settle on a successor to Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
But it was resolved during the meeting that the government will not cave to pressure over the new military leader, especially from PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
While in London, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, and others discussed the appointment of a new army chief, analyzed recent statements from the military’s media wing, and discussed the government’s strategy for dealing with the PTI’s long march, among other things, with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
On the other hand, the Sharif brothers reaffirmed that they would not grant the PTI head any kind of concession in response to his demand for early elections or a date for the next polls by marching to the garrison and the capital city.
According to those with knowledge of the situation, PML-N and the leadership of the alliance believe Imran has run out of alternatives and is thus desperate enough to publicly admit it.
According to a source, the group has been meeting in London to discuss a number of topics, including the selection of a new army commander, the PTI’s long march, the timing of upcoming elections, the weaknesses of the current administration, and the potential return of the PML-N supremo to Pakistan. According to the insider, “the appointment of the army chief is the most important item on the agenda.”
The defense minister confirmed to the media that he and the prime minister had traveled to London to consult with the elder Sharif, adding that the group had failed to settle on a candidate for the position of army chief during a meeting on Thursday but remained hopeful that the situation would be resolved soon.
Recalling that the briefing for the next military leader was postponed until after November 18, Asif said that there was still a week left and that he hoped everything would wrap up quickly and easily.
According to PML-N sources, the government has made it clear that it seeks stable ties with the establishment and that it intends to accomplish this goal by appointing a military leader who would not pressure the government to hold early elections.
Snap elections or announcing an early election date would be “political suicide,” the person added.
While it may come as a surprise, the source claims that the current economic situation and the devastation caused by floods mean that neither the government nor the establishment can afford elections at this time.
The source said, “Things would not settle until the appointment of the new army chief,” adding that the prime minister’s sudden trip to the UK was consistent with the developing situation, particularly after the army chief began farewell meetings.
According to PML-N insiders, the current administration is looking for a military chief who will help keep relations amicable with the establishment, maintain the positive momentum between the two sides, and not resort to forcing early elections on the government. This is because, according to the sources, the ruling alliance would rather see the government fall in any way possible than make any concessions on its political agenda.
After the spy chief’s press conference and Imran’s accusations against a military officer in connection with the gun attack at a PTI rally in Wazirabad, he said Sharif and the top leadership of its allies are aware that the fundamental relationship between the PTI chief and the establishment was not going to change anytime soon.
According to PML-N insiders, Imran’s allegations against the prime minister, interior minister, and military officer were “nothing more than a political stunt” discussed at the party’s London meeting.
No amount of protest, however long or short, will sway the government, according to the source, because they have “burned their political capital” and cannot afford elections at the present time.
