the chilly air robs your skin of moisture, leaving it dry, itchy, and unpleasant. Under these conditions, the majority of women are uncertain as to whether they can preserve their smooth and radiant skin. If you are also in this predicament, we will resolve it for you .

During the winter season, when humidity levels are high and temperatures are low, it can sometimes cause a variety of skin problems. According to the recommendations of Dr. Rana, you should always use a mask that contains clay and seaweed extract because these ingredients can help draw out impurities, calm spots, and exfoliate your skin.

Dr. Ajay Rana, a prominent dermatologist and cosmetic specialist, gives HealthShots tips on how to care for your skin throughout the winter.

The first and most important step in any skincare programme should always be cleansing the skin.

As the temperature drops, so does the relative humidity, and our skin loses moisture to the dry air around us. Therefore, during the winter, switch to a cleanser with moisturising properties that may hydrate dry skin and strengthen the skin’s barrier to protect it from the harmful effects of cold weather. Additionally, this helps to remove dead skin cells without leaving the skin feeling tight or dry.

Include vitamin C in the routine you follow to care for your skin. Vitamin C has a beneficial impact throughout the winter months and helps protect against UV damage caused by rays that aren’t completely filtered by sunscreen. According to Dr. Rana, “It is also beneficial for skin pigmentation, which helps to promote collagen formation, which ultimately results in a brighter complexion.” [Citation needed]

Be careful! Picking at one’s skin can be a persistent issue.

It is always important to supplement your skincare routine with a nourishing and seasonal diet during the winter months. During this season, consume plenty of beta-carotene-rich squashes like butternut and pumpkin. This facilitates cell renewal, controls skin function, and stimulates collagen production.

IMF requests that Pakistan cut costs

An inquiry for comment from Reuters was not immediately answered by the finance ministry.

The IMF stated last week that Pakistan’s prompt completion of its flood recovery plan is crucial to enable negotiations and ongoing financial support from multilateral and bilateral partners on Wednesday.

When Pakistan was devastated by floods earlier this year, the country was already dealing with a full-blown economic crisis that included decades-high inflation and diminishing foreign exchange reserves. In 2019, it had signed up for a $6 billion IMF bailout programme; the ninth review is presently ongoing.

In a letter to Reuters, IMF resident representative Esther Perez Ruiz stated that “the prompt finalisation of the recovery plan is vital to assist the negotiations, together with continuous financial support from multilateral and bilateral partners.”

IMF

IMF requests that Pakistan cut costs

She continued by saying that IMF staff members are still in talks with Pakistani authorities on how to refocus and better target aid toward humanitarian needs while pushing reform initiatives to maintain economic and budgetary sustainability.

More than 1,700 people were killed and billions of dollars in damage by devastating floods. The damage has been estimated to have cost between $10 billion and $40 billion by Pakistani authorities.

As part of the ninth review of the programme, the finance ministry of Pakistan stated last week that it will “expeditiously” complete the technical engagement with the IMF. However, a concrete timetable for the review’s conclusion has not yet been revealed.

The money will provide the South Asian country with a lifeline as it struggles to persuade foreign markets and rating agencies that it has the resources to cover its external finance needs, including debt repayment.

Early in the following month, Pakistan must return a $1 billion international bond. As of the previous week, the country had $7.9 billion in total foreign reserves with the central bank.

Fawad Khan celebrates his 41st birthday in traditional “Maula Jatt” style.

At the occasion, Khan, who appeared in The Legend of Maula Jatt, celebrated the victory after the film earned more than Rs 200 crores at international box offices. The actor put a gandasa, a long-handled wooden axe used by his character Maula Jatt, onto the cake and proceeded to slice it.

Khan is seen cutting the “Gandasa cake” with Sadaf by his side in a popular Instagram video. Khan offers his wife a tender forehead kiss as they are held in each other’s arms. At the cake-cutting ceremony, his co-star Gohar Rasheed and the film’s producer Ammara Hikmat were also present.

For his birthday party, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor opted for a striking black formal suit, while his wife wore exquisite western wear—a green shirt with a black skirt. The dynamic duo’s attire complemented the event’s theme, which focused on this year’s success and amazing accomplishments.

The Legend of Maula Jatt, directed by the legendary Bilal Lashari, has changed the way that South Asian movies are made around the globe. The movie has kept setting new records ever since it opened in theatres.

The critically acclaimed Punjabi action movie reportedly earned more than Rs 200 crore at the box office, according to producer Hikmat. The movie has previously won various accolades, including “highest grossing Pakistani picture,” “second most earning UK film for 2022,” and “most seen South Asian film in Norway.”

On October 13, 2022, The Legend of Maula Jatt was broadcast on 500+ screens across 25 nations.

Muslim population in England is rapidly increasing

LONDON: The Office for National Statistics (ONS) released census data on Tuesday showing that the Muslim population in England and Wales had experienced fast growth since the last 10-year census was conducted in 2021.

Although less than half of the population in England and Wales identify as Christians, “no religion” was the second most frequent response after Christianity.

Muslim population in England is rapidly increasing

The decline of the Christian population over time, according to Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell, was not “greatly surprising” in an age that is becoming more and more secular.

But he asserted that despite a problem in the cost of life and a war in Europe, people still required spiritual sustaining.

“In many circumstances, we will be there for them, giving them food and warmth. And millions of people will still attend our services throughout Christmas “the archbishop remarked.

The largest movement on Earth and its greatest promise for a peaceful, sustainable future, the global faith, is what we will be keeping in mind as we look beyond our immediate surroundings.

The UK census included a question about religion in 2001. It is still optional to respond, but the ONS reports that 94% of respondents did.

In England and Wales, 46.2% of the population, or 27.5 million individuals, identified as Christians, a drop of 13.1 percentage points from 2011.

Muslims increased from 4.9% to 3.9 million, or 6.5% of the population, while “no religion” increased by 12 points to 37.2%, or 22.2 million.

Hindus (one million) and Sikhs (524,000) were the next most frequent respondents, but Buddhists surpassed Jews in number (273,000 to 271,000).

The most recent significant census parts, which covered religion and ethnic identification, have been released piecemeal by the ONS.

Data are supplied separately for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

According to the study, the proportion of persons in England and Wales who identify as belonging to the white ethnic group has decreased by about 500,000 since 2011, from 86% to 81.7%.

The percentage of people who identified as white and from the British Isles was 74.4%, which was a six-point decrease from 2011.

In a decade where Britain continued to experience immigration from eastern Europe both before and after the Brexit referendum in 2016, the category of “other white” increased.

However, the ONS pointed out that respondents had more options to pick from than in 2011, which encouraged them to list additional identities.

At 9.3%, up from 7.5% a decade previously, “Asian, Asian British or Asian Welsh” was the second most prevalent ethnic group after white.

The next largest ethnic group was the fast-growing African population, followed by Caribbean.

African evangelical churches have proliferated in London and elsewhere, providing some succour to the Christian share.

Extension of Senator Swati’s physical detention by four days

In a district and sessions court, Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Shabir heard the argument against Swati’s “controversial” tweets.

The senator’s request to be excused from appearing in court was granted by Swati’s attorney Babar Awan. The senator, according to Awan, cannot be introduced because of “threats” to his life.

In response, Special Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi said that the ruling should note Swati’s absence from court at the request of his attorney.

Although the court gave the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) lawyer instructions to mark Swati’s attendance via video link, the prosecutor claimed that they intended to bring Swati to court.

The court insisted that Swati should appear via video link rather than attending the following session even though it wasn’t necessary.

On Saturday, the case will now resume.

Extension of Senator Swati’s physical detention by four days

Amir Farooq, Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), heard Swati’s plea against the numerous cases that had been brought against him and the allegations of torture earlier today. Swati had submitted it the previous day.

50 cases had been filed against Swati, according to the lawyer, and he was presently being held in custody physically.

He insisted that Swati should not be given to anyone until he received all the information on all the cases brought against the senator through the interior secretary.

How did the interior secretary manage the provincial inspector generals (IG), the court wondered? Awan did, however, confirm that the interior secretary was in charge of the IGs.

The deputy attorney general was mandated by the court to follow the home secretary’s orders.

Additionally, it commanded him to look into the allegation that the interior secretary was in charge of the IGs.

The court postponed the next hearing in this case until this coming Friday.

Swati had contacted the IHC the day before to ask about the specifics of the accusations made against him in Balochistan and Sindh.

Swati claimed in a plea that he learned of other cases after being turned over to the FIA on physical remand.

He was released on bail in a related matter, according to the plea. In addition, he said, he experienced the harshest torture while he was being held captive.

According to sources, Swati may be killed and subjected to any form of barbaric abuse while being held.

He added that cases had also been filed in other Sindh police stations. When submitted in court, it was discovered that a complaint had been filed in Quetta.

In the petition, he asked for information on the cases that had been filed against him.

PTI The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing in Islamabad conducted a raid at Senator Azam Swati’s farmhouse in Chak Shahzad two days ago, leading to the senator’s second arrest for reportedly tweeting disparaging remarks about top military officers.

He was eventually brought in front of a judge, who gave him a two-day physical remand and turned him over to the FIA.

Additionally, with immediate effect, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) banned the transmission and rebroadcast of any of Swati’s speeches, press conferences, interviews as a guest on discussion shows, comments, or tickers on any satellite TV networks.

The FIA Cyber Crime Wing filed an FIR against Swati on November 26 in response to recent “controversial” tweets that were allegedly directed at government officials, including the chief of the army staff. A copy of the FIR was made available to The Express Tribune.

According to the report, the PTI leader began an “extremely offensive campaign of intimidating tweets” against government entities, including the army chief, “with malafide intentions and ulterior motives.”

General Asim Munir assumes command of the Pakistani Army

General Asim Munir became leadership of Pakistan’s army on Tuesday, marking a significant shift of command in a structure that has a significant influence over the country’s government despite possessing nuclear weapons.
Munir, who was appointed as the next commander last week, assumes command as the nation struggles with an economic crisis and the army is embroiled in a political standoff between the ruling party and Imran Khan, the former prime minister.

At a handover ceremony held at the army’s General Headquarters in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, outgoing head General Qamar Javed Bajwa declared, “I am confident that his (Munir’s) appointment would be positive for the army and the country.”

Khan and his followers have recently expressed their displeasure with Bajwa, who held the position of commander for six years. They contend that the army was involved in Khan’s removal as prime minister in April following a no-confidence vote. The army rejected playing any part.

According to Asad Umar, a top adviser to Khan, “General Asim Munir’s first aim is to rebuild the bond of respect and affection between the nation and the military leadership.”

Khan has declared that he will continue his effort to pressure the government into calling for early elections. In addition, he has threatened to dissolve provincial legislatures controlled by his party, raising the possibility of a constitutional crisis.

Munir also has to worry about a potential uptick in militant activity in the nation after the Pakistani Taliban declared a day earlier that they would break their months-long ceasefire with the government.

Imran is not permitted to enter the federal capital, the court rules

The PTI chairman was absent from the court proceeding, thus Judge Raja Jawad Abbas of the ATC enquired as to why and in what place he was presently residing.

Judge Abbas was debating the former prime minister’s request for a temporary release on bail in the matter of organising a rally and meddling in public affairs.

Imran is not permitted to enter the federal capital, the court rules

The PTI chairman was in Lahore and wanted to personally appear before the court, but the Islamabad administration was preventing him from entering the capital, according to the PTI chairman’s attorney, Babar Awan.

Imran’s medical records were provided to the court by Awan before he made this argument, alerting it that the PTI leader was hurt and unable to travel.

The court added that this matter cannot be delayed any longer after noting that the former premier was present at a political event [two days ago].

The court questioned Awan over whether he had a written order prohibiting the ousted prime minister from entering Islamabad. The PTI attorney retorted that he did not have the directive in writing and said that it had been delivered verbally.

The case was then postponed till December 9 by the ATC, which instructed Awan to make sure Imran would show up.

The court said it might also request an explanation from the Islamabad government on the former prime minister’s admittance into the nation’s capital.

“Breaking Section 144”

Imran Khan, the head of the PTI, and other party officials were accused by the Islamabad police of breaking Section 144 during their rally in Islamabad in August.

The federal capital police had announced through loudspeakers that Section 144 had been implemented in the city, but the party persisted in holding a rally, according to the first information report (FIR), filed by Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Muhammad Anwar.

The PTI leader Shahbaz Gill’s detention and “custodial torture” were the reasons the party leaders took part in the demonstration.

The prosecution against the PTI leaders was “baseless,” according to their attorneys, who also claimed that the protest was peaceful and that the cases were a “effort to suppress” the leaders.

The video clip’s audio was the PTI anthem, giving the impression that it was an aerial view of the PTI’s march to Rawalpindi.

The tweet (attached below) didn’t have a caption when it was posted, yet it still managed to receive around 40.000 likes and 9,000 retweets.

In response to the claims made by the venerable pacer in his authorised biography, Sultan: A Memoir, Malik said to the media, “I don’t know whether Wasim Akram’s writing is a load of jokes or not.”

According to the left-arm pacer’s narrative, Saleem Malik was a narrow-minded, egotistical former right-handed batter who gave him orders to clean his clothes and shoes.

Saleem Malik replied, “Had I been a selfish or negative person, Wasim Akram would not have been given a chance to bowl in the first match and he would not have taken six wickets,” in response to these allegations.

Malik made it clear that there was no need for handwashing while on international travels because there were laundry facilities available. He stated that it appeared that such things were added to the book to make the text sharp.

The senior middle-order batter continued by saying that Wasim seems to be waging a media campaign based on finger-pointing, but it will harm both his personality and his two-decade-long career.

Wasim shed light on his personal journey during his cricketing career in his autobiography, which generated a sensation within the cricketing community. The illustrious pacer also disclosed specifics of his battles with cocaine addiction following his departure from cricket.

Bhediya Box Office Estimate Day 1 Varun Dhawan Kriti Sanon film collects Rs. 6.50 crores 354x199 2

The box office for Bhediya is doing well on Day 2. It stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

It was a successful Saturday for the movie business as both nominated movies ended up drawing audiences. It’s exciting to see Bhediya gaining up speed and joining the party even if Drishyam 2 is doing fairly well and growth over the second weekend seemed inevitable.

bhediya

The box office for Bhediya is doing well on Day 2. It stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

Stree and Roohi are part of the same universe as the Dinesh Vijan production, therefore Bhediya’s success was necessary to solidify that connection. No effort was wasted in making Bhediya a huge deal, and this is one of Maddock Films’ most extravagantly staged productions, so it makes sense.

Since the film is now scoring in the double digits, it was necessary for box office receipts to match that as well, and happily that has started happening now. The Varun Dhawan-starring film has a total of 17.05 crores after adding 9.57 crores.

However, Drishyam 2 is doing really well, as seen by its 14.05 crore rupee Saturday receipts. Although a double digit score for the Abhishek Pathak-directed suspense drama was always likely, a fantastic hold on Friday had suggested that Saturday would go far beyond simply the Rs. 10 crores threshold.

This also occurred, and given that this one has greatly piqued the interest of family audiences, there will likely be an increase in attendance today. As a result, Sunday will likely be extremely successful. The movie has earned Rs. 126.58 crores so far.

Luis Fernando Suarez, the captain of Costa Rica, claimed that his team was “still very much alive” at the World Cup following a 1-0 victory over Japan on Sunday that completely opened up Group E and provided Germany with a possible lifeline.

With a victory, Japan, who stunned four-time winners Germany 2-1 in their tournament opener in Qatar, would have advanced significantly closer to the round of 16.

Instead, they struggled in the first half against a Costa Rican team that had been destroyed 7-0 by Spain. Defender Keysher Fuller then scored on a counterattack in the 81st minute.

Costa Rica is still operational. following Japan’s late victory at the World Cup

Costa Rica now has three points, tied with Japan and the tournament’s leading team, Spain, after their first shot on goal. Spain will take on Germany later on Sunday in what is regarded as the tournament’s toughest group.

“Today, these players displayed incredible skill. I won’t discuss methods or strategies. According to Suarez, whose team plays Germany on Thursday, “I need to value and appreciate what they did to obtain this win today.

“Today, we are still very much alive, even though we weren’t dead yesterday. As long as no one forgets about us, we can still dream. We are all in this together, despite what many imagined.

In order to utilise every member of his 26-man roster, coach Hajime Moriyasu made five changes to the Japan lineup that upset Germany.

At Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, where it was 32 degrees Celsius (90 degrees Fahrenheit), Japan launched an immediate offensive and won a corner within 30 seconds.

Gerson Torres and 34-year-old centre Kendall Waston replaced the four players from the 2014 World Cup quarterfinals in Suarez’s aged starting lineup for the team thrashed by Spain.

However, Japan’s early promise faded in the heat of Doha, and Joel Campbell of Costa Rica took the game’s first chance at goal 10 minutes before halftime, a meek attempt that flew high and wide.

“Los Ticos” enjoyed greater possession of the ball as the first half came to a conclusion, but neither team managed to get off a shot on goal.

Takuma Asano, a striker who plays in the Bundesliga and scored the game-winning goal against the Germans, was one of two substitutions that Moriyasu made at the break after having had enough.

Soon after the restart, the Blue Samurai improved their cutting edge, and midfielder Hidemasa Morita forced the first legitimate save of the game.

As the game entered its last ten minutes in front of 41,000 spectators, it was all Japan.

Nine minutes before the end of regulation, Costa Rica snatched the game after doing nothing offensively for the whole of the contest. Fuller’s shot took a deflection and looped in.

Japan’s chances of making it to the knockout phase are still good, according to Moriyasu, whose team faces Spain in a difficult final group match.

“Spain will be challenging, but we have a decent chance of winning. We’ll be well-prepared and confident going into the game,” he remarked.

In addition to denying that his team was worn out from fighting Germany, Moriyasu justified the numerous lineup changes he made.

“Costa Rica didn’t do fantastic in the first half, both of us had trouble controlling the game,” he remarked.

It was a challenging game, and perhaps both teams lacked some quality in the opening period.

Imran Khan using Punjab and KP for political ends: Bilawal

Imran Khan’s public meeting in Rawalpindi, said to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, was an anticlimactic face-saving flop show.

He claimed in a tweet that Imran Khan’s announcement that the party will leave all assemblies was a resignation play motivated by frustration.

According to him, PTI failed to undermine the nominations of new chiefs and was unable to mobilise crowds for the revolution.

How long will Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continue to be treated as political pawns? asked the foreign minister.

Elections will be held ‘on time’ after August 2023: PM Shehbaz

Premier asserts that his administration was formed by constitutional means and has the mandate of the people.

Shehbaz Sharif
Shehbaz Sharif

ISTANBUL: According to statements made by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the subsequent general elections in the nation “shall be conducted on schedule,” which is sometime after August 2023.

“Let me be very clear: the next elections will be conducted on schedule,” Prime Minister Shehbaz said in an interview with Anadolu Agency.

He was replying to queries about his predecessor and the call for early elections by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

“This administration was formed via a constitutional process and has the support of the Pakistani people,” he continued.

“The present National Assembly will conclude its term in August 2023, after which an interim administration will be formed and elections will be held,” the prime minister added.

The current coalition administration has “Except for the PTI, it represents all political parties in the nation and is occupied with matters of considerable significance.”

Notably, Imran, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said on Saturday that his party has chosen to resign from all provincial legislatures, a move regarded as a further attempt to press the government for early elections in the nation.

Combination of initiatives to combat the economic slump

PM Shehbaz, who was elected prime minister in April after his predecessor Imran Khan lost a vote of confidence, said that Pakistan’s economy was “on the edge of financial collapse” and “facing many global and local issues” when he took office.

“The previous administration’s economic policies were not growth-friendly and caused the economy to face several obstacles.

“Pakistan’s economy faced excessive monetary tightening, supply-side shocks, lingering pandemic impacts, declining investor confidence, rising inflation, and the consequences of the Russia-Ukraine crisis,” he said.

Shehbaz, however, said that his government has taken a “combination of strategies to combat the economic crisis by recognising that we have a very little time to pull back from the brink of bankruptcy and financial collapse.”

“Undoubtedly, some of our policy alternatives, such as the elimination of untargeted subsidies, had increased the economy’s short-term costs. However, the majority of our programmes are more likely to provide long-term advantages “he remarked.

“This included policy decisions and political will. We took the risk of reversing the untargeted subsidies despite the fact that such a difficult choice demands a great deal of political capital.

The prime minister said, “We are also conscious that our present course of action is harming the most disadvantaged and marginalised members of society, but we are taking care of them by announcing targeted subsidies and other relief measures.”

Premier said that the revitalization of the IMF programme and “strong engagement with bilateral and multilateral partners” has relieved pressure.

PM Shehbaz1666617175 0

His administration made steps to minimise the import bill, current account imbalance, and pressure on the Pakistani rupee in order to address the economy.

During the first four months of the fiscal year 2023, the “constant drop in imports” helped reduce the current account deficit, he said.

However, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that the catastrophic floods that struck Pakistan earlier this year “caused a significant lot of hardship.”

Pakistan-Turkiye connections

Facing mutual difficulties and new dangers, Islamabad and Ankara should collaborate via joint research and resource pooling, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Shehbaz told Anadolu Agency in an exclusive interview, “We think that Pakistan and Turkey should collaborate and strengthen their connection via collective research, joint development, and resource sharing.”

Sharif described bilateral relations with Turkey as exceptional, stating, “These historic ties are strongly rooted in shared religious, cultural, and linguistic ties and transcend political changes on both sides.”

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the beginning of diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Friday marked the beginning of a two-day official visit to Turkey at the request of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Whether it’s Jammu and Kashmir or Northern Cyprus, Pakistan and Turkey support each other on all matters of vital national interests. I would want to use this opportunity to thank Turkey, and its leadership in particular, for its principled support towards the Jammu and Kashmir problem “he remarked.

He said that the two countries have similar perspectives on regional and international problems and collaborate closely in bilateral, regional, and multilateral forums.

“Faced with mutual difficulties and new and emerging dangers, Pakistan and Turkey have expanded their collaboration across several domains, especially in the defence sector,” he added, praising the Turkish defence industry.

“Pakistan is Türkiye’s largest defence customer,” the Turkish prime minister emphasised, adding that their collaboration on the construction of the MILGEM-class warships not only has “unique value” for the Pakistani Navy’s capability enhancements, but also “stands out as a defining moment to further cement the bonds of friendship between our two nations and our two navies.”

The foundation of interstate relations should be mutual respect.

Pakistan’s “longstanding and broad-based relationship” with the United States, according to the prime minister, is “dedicated to deepening and expanding.”

“In recent months, interactions between the two nations have been highly fruitful and significant. Our exchanges on several levels have escalated, resulting in a deepening friendship “In answer to inquiries from Anadolu Agency, he said.

Recalling a recent meeting with Vice President Joe Biden in New York, the prime minister said that there had been “a number of high-level visits, including congressional delegations and administration officials”

“These meetings have achieved great outcomes and strengthened our connections,” he added, complimenting Washington for its $97 million donation to flood victims in Pakistan.

Moreover, Pakistan is engaging closely with the United States “to foster peace and stability in Afghanistan” and is following a foreign policy of “friendship and goodwill toward all nations,” he added.

“Pakistan has maintained historically positive ties with the United States and China. Pakistan historically served as a conduit for establishing ties between the United States and the People’s Republic of China “He observed.

“While the Pakistan-China relationship is unique, Pakistan and the United States have maintained a long-standing, broad-based bilateral partnership that encompasses all topics of mutual concern.

“We think that constructive interaction with all nations may improve regional peace and security, as well as economic growth and connectivity. We anticipate continuing to work with the international community to promote peace and stability in the area and beyond “Premier said.

The prime minister said that Pakistan “strongly believes that interstate relations should be based on mutual respect and peaceful settlement of conflicts by maintaining the ideals of the United Nations Charter and international law.”

China’mindful’ of regional complexities and hazards

Regarding ties with China, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that his recent talks with the Chinese leadership “infused fresh vigour into our collaborative efforts to achieve timely development and implementation of significant projects.”

“Important agreements were established on the advancement of key projects like as the Main Line I and Karachi Circular Railway (ML-I/KCR) projects, as well as the implementation of the Framework Agreement on Industrial Cooperation as soon as possible.

“We also agreed to increase cooperation in green energy, research and technology, and agriculture, all of which are critical building blocks for the CPEC’s (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) high-quality growth,” he added.

The prime minister emphasised that Pakistan has always “given top importance to the security and safety of our overseas development partners.”

“The maintenance of a safe and secure environment, which is crucial for investment and socioeconomic growth, has been bolstered.

“Both Pakistan and China are cognizant of the region’s complexity and the threats it entails. We will continue to maintain heightened vigilance and guarantee that the malicious schemes of our adversaries fail “Sharif stated.

India and Kashmir

On whether restarting regular relations between Islamabad and New Delhi is contingent on settling the Kashmir conflict, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan’s foreign policy is “one of friendship and goodwill towards everybody.”

“We want good ties with all of our neighbours, including India,” the prime minister said.

For “full normalisation” of relations, including the resumption of economic ties, India must “reverse its acts” of August 5, 2019, when New Delhi abolished the minimal autonomy of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

In addition, he demanded that India cease its “state terrorism” in IIOJK and refrain from seeking “demographic changes in occupied territory to sustain its unlawful occupation.”

Shehbaz said, in reference to his inauguration speech as prime minister, that he “We reaffirmed our intention to preserve “excellent relations” with India.

“However, we are certain that a lasting peace cannot be established without an equitable settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir problem in conformity with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the desires of the Kashmiri people.”

The Prime Minister noted that the “illegal and unilateral measures” on 5 August 2019 and following activities in IIOJK “further deteriorated the atmosphere.”

Family sources say Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed has made the decision to retire early

A family source confirmed that Gen. Saab had made the decision to retire early.

Lt Gen Faiz was one of the six most senior generals who were given consideration for the positions of chief of army staff and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC).

General Asim Munir was named army chief by the government, who also named General Sahir Shamshad as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Lt Gen Faiz has been in the news frequently for a number of years.

He first gained notoriety while serving as the DG-C of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), which is responsible for counterintelligence. In November 2017, the government and Tehreek-e-Labaik (TLP) signed an agreement that included his name to put an end to the 21-day sit-in at Faizabad.

He later received a promotion to Lieutenant General and then went back to running the ISI as its director. He had been charged by the PML-N with trying to persuade the courts to convict its leaders.

When then-premier Imran Khan wanted to keep him on as DG ISI but Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had other ideas, he was at the centre of yet another controversy.

Gen. Faiz is regarded as a brilliant officer by those who have worked and interacted with him.

The Chief of General Staff, Lt Gen Azhar Abbas, has already made the decision to retire. Gens. Azhar and Faiz were scheduled to retire in April of the following year.

According to certain sources, another general might leave the army sooner rather than later. This implies that the new army chief will assemble his own group from the outset.

He would have the opportunity to name his personnel to the critical positions of Chief of General Staff and Rawalpindi Corps.

Generals who weren’t replaced by others rarely choose to retire earlier than expected.

Wasim Akram describes how Imran Khan abandoned him on a remote island.

Wasim Akram, a former pacer for Pakistan, remembered amusing anecdotes about his good times with PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan in an interview that is currently doing the rounds on the internet.

The sultan of swing recalled one such incident from the beginning of his career and stated that while Khan was a rigorous captain, he was also incredibly funny.

Akram stated that the pacer once accepted Khan’s invitation to accompany him to a nightclub. Akram claimed that Khan had never consumed alcohol before arriving at the club and had instead purchased a pint of milk.

The quick bowler was astonished to see his then-captain shaking hands with women, though. When only girls lined up to shake Imran’s hand, Akram said, “I just said that’s awesome.”

Another time, Akram claimed that Khan left him on a US island where the two had travelled to visit the PTI chief’s acquaintance.

“He drove us to the airport with one of his female pals; she had a private aircraft. So, after a 45-minute flight into a remote island, we boarded a private plane. They entered the house to talk. Okay, what should we do next, I said? We are on an island in the middle of South America, so we can’t even return to the hotel “Akram described the incident.

Throughout their careers, Akram and Khan have both played together. The 1992 World Cup-winning team included Akram, and the previous premier served as its captain.

On December 1st, Google Play Store services will cease in Pakistan.

Since the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has banned the direct carrier billing (DCB) method, Pakistani consumers won’t be able to use Google Play Store services as of December 1.

december

On December 1st, Google Play Store services will cease in Pakistan.

The payment of $34 billion to international service providers has been suspended as a result of the central bank’s decision to block DCB.

Customers will be required to use their bank cards to make payments in order to download Google and other foreign apps because the Google Play Stores are not available.

Additionally, because there aren’t enough credit card options, many mobile users won’t be able to download programmes from the Google Play Store.

While this was going on, the SBP was approached by the Telecom Ministry, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), and cellular service providers, pleading with it to reverse course since it would be problematic for subscribers.

They said that the ruling would have an effect on the biggest names in technology, such as Google, Amazon, and Meta, forcing them to stop offering their services in Pakistan.

Social media users in Pakistan have expressed concern over the SBP decision and asked the agency to reevaluate the action that sparked a meme frenzy on Twitter.

In two school shootings in Brazil, many people were slain.

On Friday, a 16-year-old gunman wearing Nazi emblems opened fire on two schools in southeast Brazil, killing at least three people, among them an adolescent girl, and injuring 11 others, according to officials.

Authorities in the Espirito Santo state city of Aracruz reported that the shooter opened fire on a group of instructors at his previous school, killing two and injuring nine others.

Brazil

In two school shootings in Brazil, many people were slain.

He afterwards left that public primary and secondary school and entered a neighbouring private school, where he allegedly killed a teenage girl and injured two other individuals.

According to Governor Renato Casagrande, who also proclaimed three days of mourning in the state, authorities have captured the shooter.

“He was a 16-year-old minor and a student at (the first) school up to June. After that, his family changed his school. According to information we have, he was receiving psychiatric care “A news conference heard from Casagrande. He claimed that some of the survivors’ wounds still posed a threat to their lives. He stated, “We are rooting and praying for them to recover.

The gunman was captured on security camera footage racing inside the school while armed and wearing military-style camouflage, according to Brazilian media reports. The personnel fled in horror as he ran through the hallways and started firing bullets.

He had a swastika on his fatigues, according to investigators, and they were checking into whether he had ties to any extremist groups.

The shooter, a police officer’s son, was alleged to have used two handguns in the attack, both of which were registered to his father — one was a service firearm and the other was a privately registered weapon.

The teenager broke inside the school through a locked door and avoided the security guard, according to Casagrande, who claimed that the boy looked to have carefully planned the attack.

The governor claimed that he then went into the teachers’ lounge, which was the first room he reached, and started shooting.

“He intended to shoot people. He started shooting at the first individuals he came across, “said he.

According to Joao Francisco Filho, commissioner of the civil police, the suspect appeared to have been planning the attack for “two years” and did not appear to have a “clear target.”

An AFP photographer stated that outside the school, which was sealed off with crime scene tape, investigators could be seen carrying victims’ remains in coffins and loading them onto police vans. In the city, there are about 100,000 people living.

Sanaullah expresses concern about the safety of the PTI’s planned lengthy march.

At a news conference on Friday, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah voiced grave worries over the safety of tomorrow’s (November 26) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) gathering in Rawalpindi.

The PTI has planned a long march into the capital demanding early elections, and the interior minister has already conducted a special meeting in preparation.

A constitutional obligation to prevent a political party from unlawfully entering the federal capital territory was emphasized by the minister.

According to what he had said before, “Chief secretaries should guarantee that no government employee becomes part of any effort or plot to destroy the federation.”

While addressing to media, the minister gave advice to PTI head Imran Khan to postpone the march and added that “all the intelligence agencies have raised a red alert for the long march in the capital.”

As he spoke directly to Imran, he emphasized the fact that “your own life is also in jeopardy,” alluding to the possibility of an assault by outlawed terrorist groups.

In further explanation of his previous remarks, the minister said, “All Al Qaeda has to do is locate an operative who would be ready to carry out an assault.” Do you believe that would be something that would be difficult for them to accomplish?”

“There are individuals who are interested in producing disorder and instigating conflict,” he continued. “There are others who are interested in provoking violence.” “They want us to start fighting amongst ourselves and to murder each other,” you said. When a politician has himself identified competitors in an FIR regarding his murder in his own lifetime, is it not the ideal chance for such forces, so that the guilt would immediately be moved to them?

Because of the high threat level, Sanaullah gave the assurance at the conference that he had given instructions to the police and other law enforcement agencies to ensure that there was stringent security at all of the access and exit points of the rally location.

“I have had in-depth conversations with the Punjab chief secretary and inspector general (IG) to guarantee that all four sides of the stage are secure and that every guest must undergo a body check before entering the venue.

“The platform should be maintained bulletproof at all costs,” he stated, while also adding that access to the stage should be limited since “if 200 people are standing on it, then who knows who did what?”

The minister also said that he had discussed a letter with the PTI’s secretary general, Asad Umar. He went on to say that the PTI was more than welcome to “sit with the agency representatives and see for themselves” in the event that the party wants to confirm the charges.

General Asim Munir: Pakistani government officially notifies General Asim Munir as the new army chief

ISLAMABAD: According to notifications released on Friday morning, the federal government has selected General Sahir Shamshad Mirza to serve as the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff committee (CJCSC), while General Asim Munir will take over as the next chief of army staff.

Pakistan’s government announces General Asim Munir as the new army chief.

General Asim Muneer

President Arif Alvi approved the brief to nominate both of the top military leaders on Thursday evening. This ended a long period of uncertainty about important military appointments.

As a direct consequence of this development, the notifications issued by the Ministry of Defense state that the current CJCSC General Nadeem Raza would hang up his boots on November 27 and that the COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa will retire on November 29.

“In exercise of powers conferred by Article 243(4)(b) of the Constitution read with Section 8A of Pakistan Army Act 1952, the president, on the advice of the prime minister, is pleased to approve the promotion of PA-25031 Lieutenant General Syed Asim Munir to the rank of General with immediate effect and his appointment as Chief of the Army Staff for a period of three years with effect from November 29, 2022,” a notification stated.

The president of Pakistan is pleased to approve the promotion of
After their nominations to high-ranking roles, both of the senior military officers met with Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Alvi. The officials from the government expressed their best wishes for them as they took on their new roles.
The lack of assurance

Even though the president gave his approval of the appointment summary last evening, there was still some ambiguity over the situation since the vice president did not sign the document immediately after the president submitted it to him.

In the same time as the prime minister was sending the summary to the president, he departed Islamabad for Lahore to meet with PTI Chairman Imran Khan at Zaman Park to discuss the issue.

In an interview that took place on Wednesday night, Khan had said that he and President Alvi will play “legally and constitutionally” on the topic. As a result, everyone’s attention was focused on the meeting.

638027968b806

The president eventually departed for Islamabad after the lengthy conversation, and PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry announced that the President’s House will publish a statement on his meeting with the PTI head. This remark, together with the previous one, gave birth to rumors and suspicions.

Despite this, the president gave the summary his stamp of approval by the evening without any additional complications, and he also met with both of the military leaders later in the day.

Gen Asim Munir – a short profile
After graduating from the Mangala Officers Training School, General Asim Munir became a commissioned officer in the Frontier Force Regiment of the Pakistan Army. He had previously served in the Pakistan Army.

After serving as the brigade commander of the Northern Areas Force, he was promoted to the position of director-general of the Military Intelligence at the beginning of 2017. In 2018, he was given the position as director-general of the Inter-Services Intelligence organisation (ISI).

6380279670aad

After this, he was given the position of Corps Commander in Gujranwala for a period of two years. At the moment, he is working his way up the ranks to become the Quarter Master at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

He will make history as the first army commander to have led both the Military Intelligence and the ISI. In addition to this, General Munir will be the very first army chief to be presented with the Sword of Honor.

A succinct introduction to General Sahir Shamshad Mirza
The current Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Raheel Sharif, appointed Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza, a native of the Sindh Regiment, to serve as the director-general of military operations.

Gen. Mirza was also a member of the coordination committee that monitored the discussions with Afghanistan and directed the operations against militants in North Waziristan.

In addition to that, he was a participant in the Gilgit-Baltistan Reforms Committee. Mirza was promoted to the rank of general and then given the position of Chief of the General Staff. At the moment, he is acting in the capacity of Corps Commander in Rawalpindi.

A multitude of hypotheses
Since the tabling of the motion of no confidence in Khan in April, the issue of the appointment of the army chief has become increasingly contentious. This is because the matter of the appointment is crucial in the current political scenario, in which Khan is attempting to return to power in opposition to the ruling coalition.

On August 19, 2019, the then-prime minister Khan granted the outgoing COAS Bajwa a three-year extension in service, allowing him to remain in his position beyond the date that was originally scheduled for his retirement on November 29, 2019.

A lot of people have been wondering whether or not General Bajwa would try to get another extension on his contract. On the other hand, the COAS said a few months ago that he is seriously considering retiring this year.

This was also verified by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) at least a number of times, while General Bajwa made it very apparent on two different occasions that he did not want to remain in his current position as commander of the military installation.

The general kicked off his goodbye tour on November 1 by paying a visit to the Army Air Defense Command. The next day, he went to the Armed Forces Strategic Forces Command, which was the next stop on his tour. Currently, the general is in the midst of his farewell tour.

Positive figures on the current account contribute to the market’s rise.

Investors seemed to be pleased with the reduction of the current account (CA) deficit in a deal that was closely guarded, which led to an increase in stock prices on Tuesday, traders said, despite the fact that political instability continues to be a reason for worry.

current account contribute to the market's rise

In a post-market statement, Darson Research said that the country’s current account deficit dropped significantly by 47% over the first four months of this fiscal year, which contributed to the local equities market finishing on a positive note (FY23).

After reaching an intraday high of 315.26 points at 43,076.45 points, the benchmark KSE-100 Index on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) finished the day with a gain of 167.43 points to close at 42,928.62 points.

According to what the brokerage firm had to say about the matter, “this alone was the key driver for the buoyancy of the market.”

The current account deficit for Pakistan ballooned to $567 million in October 2022, up $204 million or 56% from September’s figure of $363 million, month-on-month. However, the deficit narrowed by 68% year-on-year (YoY), thanks to the central bank-led curbs that have successfully put a brake on imports.

According to information that was made public by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday, the current account deficit decreased by 47% year-on-year to $2.821 billion during the first four months of this fiscal year (4MFY23), as compared to $5.305 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The decrease in the current account monthly deficit was ascribed by analysts to a fall in workers’ remittances by 9% month-on-month ($221 million), which brought the total to $2.216 million.

According to Topline Research, the global benchmark indices provider, MSCI, added four firms to its Frontier Market FM100 Index during its most recent semi-annual review (Pakistan Oil Fields, TRG Pakistan, System Limited, and Lucky Cement).
