ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) ruled on Thursday that Capt. (ret.) Muhammad Safdar and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s conviction in the Avenfield case lacked “justification or basis.”The IHC stated in a 41-page detailed ruling that “…the prosecution has not been able to prove its case against [Maryam and Safdar] and the conviction recorded against [them] is without rationale or validity.”

Just before the 2018 General Elections, an accountability court fined Maryam £2 million and gave her concurrent sentences of seven years for being “instrumental in concealing the properties of her father” and one year for refusing to cooperate with the bureau. Both sentences were to run concurrently.

Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N supremo, was also given a 10-year prison term for having assets that were out of proportion to his known sources of income, and Maryam’s husband received a two-year sentence of solitary confinement. While Maryam was visiting her father in jail in August 2019, she was detained in connection with the matter. Later, in November 2019, a neighbourhood court issued bail.

According to an Indian expert, “The Legend of Maula Jatt” outperforms Bollywood films at box offices worldwide.

The Legend of Maula Jatt, written and directed by Bilal Lashari, has been a resounding success both domestically and abroad. On its tenth day in theatres, the movie became a member of the exclusive Rs 100 crore club and appears to have outperformed two recently released Bollywood movies in terms of box office receipts worldwide.

The Legend of Maula Jatt outperforms Bollywood Films

Both “Ram Setu” by Akshay Kumar and “Thank God” by Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra failed to draw in a large worldwide audience.

Ram Setu, starring Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez, and Thank God, starring Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra, were two Diwali movies that failed to draw in an international audience. An Indian cinema trade analyst tweeted that the Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan movie had managed to generate more revenue on its thirteenth day than the aforementioned Indian movies did on their opening day.

Ram Setu and Thank God at least managed fair collections on day one in India on account of the Diwali holiday, but both fared poor Overseas. Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt on 13th day is higher than both Bollywood films on their 1st day,” Komal Nahta wrote on Twitter.

He provided data to back up his assertion by sharing box office results from various nations. “Canada, Tuesday, October 25, 13th day of The Legend of Maula Jatt: $31,183. Punjabi [film] Honeymoon: $20,923, Thank God: $ 14,444; and Ram Setu: $12,714.”

He further wrote, “UK: Tuesday, October 25, 13th day of The Legend of Maula Jatt is £32,261. Ram Setu (Day 1) £11,794; Thank God (Day 1) £11,884.” Revealing Australia’s numbers of the same day, Nahta tweeted, “The Legend of Maula Jatt is $10,282. Ram Setu (Day 1): $11,307 and Thank God (Day 1): $9,273.”

The movie is a remake of Yunus Malik’s 1979 cult hit Maula Jutt and tells the tale of the conflict between Maula Jatt and Noori Natt. The Legend of Maula Jatt, which was directed by Lashari, also features Zia Khan, Raheela Agha, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humaima Malick, Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Faris Shafi, Ali Azmat, Nayyer Ejaz, Shafqat Cheema, and Saima Baloch.

Regarding the dispute between Ram Setu and Thank God, Kumar was questioned in his most recent interview with the Hindustan Times. The actor from Khiladi retorted by saying that the releases weren’t a “clash.” He said, “There is no clash. Let’s not refer to it as that. They are two films, with different appeals, released on the same day. It’s happened in the past and it will happen in the future. Fans will choose to watch the one that appeals to them the most or better still, watch both. The main objective is for our fans to enjoy the festival at the movies with friends and family.” He added, “There is no clash. Let’s not refer to it as that. They are two films, with different appeals, released on the same day. It’s happened in the past and it will happen in the future. Fans will choose to watch the one that appeals to them the most or better still, watch both. The main objective is for our fans to enjoy the festival at the movies with friends and family.”

The actor added these words when discussing his movie Ram Setu: “Ram Setu is very proudly rooted in Indian history and culture. On the factual side, the team has relied on deep research to represent what is true and bring out several unknown facts. On the spiritual, sentimental side, we have not only remained emotionally respectful, but I can assure you that the values and beliefs associated with Shri Ram and Ram Setu are being uniquely upheld.”

Toyota Corolla Cross vs. Honda HR-V: An Imminent Threat

The public’s reaction to the launch of the Honda HR-V has been mixed, despite high expectations. As previously stated, the excitement surrounding the new HR-V is fading due to a lack of features and performance in comparison to competitors.
Toyota Corolla Cross is a particular threat to Honda HR-V. The current Corolla Cross is too expensive to be a threat to the HR-V because it is a completely built-up (CBU) import.

However, Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) previously announced that the Corolla Cross will be relaunched in March 2023 as Pakistan’s first locally assembled hybrid electric vehicle (HEV).

The New Post-TROS Star Wars Film Is The Perfect Way To Continue The Sequels

It’s fantastic news for fans of Star Wars that Damon Lindelof is apparently working on a new Star Wars film that will take place after the events of The Rise of Skywalker.

film series star wars

According to reports, Damon Lindelof is penning a new Star Wars film that will pick up just after the events of Star Wars: The Rise in Skywalker, which is exactly where the series needs to progress. It has been a while since The Rise of Skywalker, so it is unclear how and when Star Wars will return to the big screen. The updates on the Damon Lindelof Star Wars movie are exciting not only because they demonstrate that the project is moving forward but also because the information regarding the timeline and characters sounds very promising. Following a series of Star Wars movie announcements, none of which currently have a release date.

Damon Lindelof’s Star Wars film, according to THR, won’t be a genuine Episode 10 but instead, take place after The Rise of Skywalker and could include characters from the prequels. Instead, the Damon Lindelof Star Wars film will be a stand-alone tale that, if it is successful, might pave the way for future sequels and is expected to feature new characters. Although there are no plot specifics mentioned in the THR report, the mere idea that Lindelof’s Star Wars film will continue the tale after The Rise of Skywalker rather than attempting yet another prequel or spinoff is thrilling. Even though Lindelof’s Star Wars film is still in development, it is one of the franchise’s most promising endeavors.

The Star Wars Film by Damon Lindelof Is Superior to an Episode 10

film series star wars

Star Wars 10 was never completely ruled out, even though The Rise of Skywalker was intended to mark the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga. But given how challenging it was for Lucasfilm to produce the Star Wars sequel trilogy more than 30 years after Return of the Jedi, carrying on the Skywalker Saga in Episode 10 and beyond would be too challenging. As would be expected from a conclusion containing so many well-known figures, The Rise of Skywalker’s conclusion caused a lot of controversies. Even though Damon Lindelof’s Star Wars film is not Episode 10, by placing it after The Rise of Skywalker, Lucasfilm moves the Star Wars story along while avoiding the difficulties and errors of the sequel trilogy.

Future Star Wars should include more Post-Sequel Films

rey star wars rise of skywalker 800x400 1

The Star Wars franchise ought to keep producing additional post-sequel storylines, even if Damon Lindelof’s Star Wars film ends up being a stand-alone film. Although The Mandalorian and other Star Wars programs have been successful, they are all set in well-known eras, which obviously restricts how imaginative and original the plots may be. Though there is a lot of untapped Star Wars potential in the distant past, such as the Old Republic, the post-Episode IX galaxy is the most intriguing era the franchise might now explore. Star Wars has the chance to start from scratch for the first time in a long time, even if it also includes characters from the sequel trilogy.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, despite its flaws, concluded the Skywalker Saga and gave the franchise a chance to establish a new history. Damon Lindelof’s Star Wars picture can convey a Star Wars story without being connected to two other trilogies, whether it follows Rey Skywalker and Finn on a fresh adventure or a completely new lead character. The Leftovers and Watchmen demonstrate that this next Star Wars film may be unlike anything in the franchise and that it will be better for it. Some of Lindelof’s sci-fi works, like Lost, may have caused controversy, but they are not without their fans.

PTI leadership responds to the ISPR allegation, claiming that Imran made no unconstitutional demands in backroom negotiations.

Asad Umar, a PTI leader, stated on Thursday that his party chief never made any unconstitutional demands in “back door talks” in response to a press conference by Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt Gen Nadeem Ahmed Anjum and Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) DG Lt Gen Babar Iftikhar regarding former prime minister Imran Khan’s confrontational narrative against the military.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhry, Shireen Mazari, and Hammad Azhar, other party leaders, joined Umar as he spoke with the media, claiming that the topics discussed behind closed doors were not “secret.”

In speeches and news conferences, Imran Khan has spoken about them. For all time, the public has been aware of the needs.`

These remarks were apparently made in response to Lt. Gen. Anjum by Umar. While civilians have the freedom to express their opinions in the press conference earlier today, the DG ISI appeared to be referring to Imran when he asked: “Why did you praise him [the army leader] so much in the past if he was a traitor?”
Why do you meet him through the back door if you consider him to be a traitor? Avoid holding secret meetings through the back door where you can voice your unconstitutional wishes while denouncing [the army chief] as a traitor in the open. Your words and your actions are in stark contrast, he had said.

Lt Gen Anjum also disclosed that General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of Army Staff, received a “lucrative offer” for a contract renewal in March. It was created in my presence. Because he wanted the institution to go from a contentious role to a constitutional role, he rejected it.
Later on in the day, Umar claimed that Imran was the owner of both the army and the nation during a media discussion in Lahore. “But will Imran Khan concur with every military decision? Does he criticise any decisions or actions? Absolutely. He has a constitutional right to this.

You may not agree with the criticism, but from Imran Khan’s perspective, all of these recommendations would improve the army and the nation if they were implemented.

Rashid denies rumours that he won’t join the PTI’s lengthy march.

Sheikh Rashid, a former interior minister, urged people on Thursday to fully participate in the long march that is set for tomorrow in an effort to dispel rumours that he wouldn’t.

The former minister urged the people to make the march one that heralds the nation’s true freedom in a video message shared to his official Twitter account as the heads of the nation’s top intelligence agency and the media’s military arm spoke at an unusual news conference.

He emphasised that he would be at Liberty Chowk tomorrow at 11 a.m. and invited the public to march with “vigour, fervour, and strength.”

In addition, the former minister declared that he will make a “important” press conference today at 5 o’clock to support the long march and to pay tribute to journalist Arshad Sharif, who was assassinated.

The former minister added that the “situation” in Islamabad was unsuitable for him and that he had arrived in Lahore early to take part in Imran Khan’s lengthy march. The statement was made a few days after Rashid claimed that while he was in Rawalpindi, the Islamabad police had raided his home.

Iran shrine bombing results in 15 deaths.

According to official media, the Daesh organisation claimed responsibility for the attack on a significant Muslim shrine in southern Iran on Wednesday, which claimed at least 15 lives.

Pakistan has denounced the terrorist attack and shown support for the Iranian people who are mourning the loss of lives. The Foreign Office Spokesperson issued a statement in which she wished for the “swift recovery” of everyone impacted by the incident.
At least 19 people were also hurt during the attack by an armed “terrorist” at the Shah Cheragh mausoleum in the city of Shiraz during evening prayers, according to state media.

According to earlier accounts, three attackers were responsible for the 13 fatalities and 40 injuries.

Kazem Mousavi, the head of the local judiciary, claimed on state television that “just one terrorist was involved in this attack.”

According to the local governor Mohammad-Hadi Imanieh, the attacker “fired indiscriminately on pilgrims” assembled at the site.

As evening prayers began, a witness claimed he “heard the sobs of women” and that the “assailant entered the temple and opened firing.”

Images and video of bodies covered in fabric and covered in blood and laying within the shrine were broadcast in Iranian media.

IRNA published images of a boy being carried on a stretcher and a mother cradling a young child with bloody footprints on the ground.

According to Iran’s Fars news agency, two children and a mother were also murdered.

The attack was attributed to the Daesh terrorist organisation.

“Serious response”
The Shah Cheragh mausoleum, which houses the tomb of Ahmad, the Imam Reza’s brother, is regarded as the most sacred place in southern Iran.

Ebrahim Raisi, the president of Iran, promised “a serious retaliation.”

In a statement issued by his office, he also denounced “the enemies of Iran” who try to “split the united ranks of the people… via violence and terror”.

According to a statement sent by his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres “deeply condemns the terrorist attack on the Shah Cheragh Holy Shrine.”

Such crimes against places of worship are exceptionally terrible, it continued.

Be Aware: Safe Spaces for Children Online

Be Aware for Children Online

People are usually aware of the benefits of internet but very few know of its dark side. Online risk is a global phenomenon however, from Pakistan’s perspective we face additional challenges e.g. uploading/posting of blasphemous and sectarian content. These are sensitive subject matters and require particular consideration to avoid propagation of hate. Keeping in view the gravity of matter, it is imperative to sensitize our social media users (i.e. youngsters, parents, teachers, and other key stakeholders) about the issues and timely adoption of proper measures to save our generation from further harm. In order to achieve the desired results, a collective effort is required to be made by all stakeholders.

Youngsters are vulnerable in the online world and parents/guardians supervising them are not fully aware about online risks, community guidelines of Social Media platforms and punishments mentioned in local laws (i.e. PECA, PPC etc.). Parents and teachers need to be watchful of their kids/students online activities especially if they are exhibiting aggressive behavior, usually resulting from seeing inappropriate content or playing online fighting/War games. Kids/students at this stage require proper counseling by their parents/teachers from time to time along with adoption of proven measures such as: avoid giving them handheld devices and allow them to use PCs placed in a common area visible to all, and replacing online gaming facilities with physical activities. Most importantly, parents must spare time for their children, be friendly and educate them about online risks and allow them to discuss their issues without judgment otherwise, they may confide in strangers/online predators. Educational institutions should also step up and raise awareness through organizing seminars/webinars, workshops etc. In addition, using parental control software and built in safety features of SM applications is effective in filtering inappropriate content/apps, limiting screen time, observing online activities etc. (List of parental control software is available at PTA website: www.pta.gov.pk). For Social Media users’ guidance PTA has also placed a list containing links/URLs of Community Standards of major SM platforms having information/guidelines about their important policies to be followed while posting content over SM platforms or sharing with others.

Moreover, Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) was approved in 2016, which empowers PTA to control circulation of unlawful content over internet/social media and FIA to investigate cybercrime related issues. Public can report unlawful content to PTA for blocking through Complaint Management System (CMS): https://complaint.pta.gov.pk/RegisterComplaint.aspx or PTA CMS mobile app and cybercrime related issues to FIA Cybercrime Wing (CCW) for initiating legal action against offender. It is important to mention that all popular SM companies and their systems are hosted outside Pakistan on encrypted HTTPs sites. PTA after analyzing received complaints takes up the matter with concerned SM platform for removal/blocking of reported content. For quick resolution of the matter, SM platforms always prefer direct communication with complainant since it is easier to seek further information (if required) directly from complainant. Links of popular SM complaint reporting procedure/mechanism are below:

The “double standards” of Prince Harry with Netflix are criticized.

Regarding his relationship with Netflix, Prince Harry has been accused of applying “double standards.”

prince harry

A royal expert criticized Prince Harry for not speaking out against the streaming service’s hit series The Crown and accused him of having “double standards” when it comes to his relationship with Netflix.

The Duke of Sussex has a multi-million dollar deal with the streaming platform himself, but Jane Moore, writing for The Sun, noted that he seemed to be particularly quiet. She went so far as to say that Prince Harry appeared to have “double standards.”

According to Moore, “Whatever happens with the documentary that’s part of the Sussexes’ rumored £83million deal with Netflix, Harry’s failure to criticize The Crown is illuminating.”

“After all, he spends tens of thousands of pounds suing newspapers over every slight, imagined or otherwise, in a bid to protect his wife and the memory of his mother,” she added.

“Yet when his paymasters dramatize and embellish several painful episodes in Princess Diana’s life (including her death in series six, being filmed now), he has said nothing since telling James Corden that “It’s fictional… but it’s loosely based on the truth”. Double standards, one might suggest,” Moore criticized.

The remarks came just days after Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry, said to Variety that the couple’s Netflix documentary isn’t “what they wanted,” but that they are delighted for it to premiere.

Meghan Markle to speak at a charity gala about “the power of women”

The event’s proceeds will support vulnerable women.

women power charity gala - Meghan Markle

Given that she will be speaking at a significant charity event next month, Meghan Markle has a busy schedule ahead of her.

The Power of Women: An Evening With Meghan is a magnificent dinner where the Duchess of Sussex will be the center of attention.

The event will take place at the Marriot Downtown Hotel in Indianapolis on November 29. The 41-year-old will attend alongside Rabbi Sandy Sasso, the first woman ordained by Reconstructionist Judaism.

“Women’s Fund is proud to welcome Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, to Indianapolis”, the event’s online description states.

As a feminist, mother, and supporter of human rights, the Duchess is a powerful force. Her advocacy for women and girls spans her entire life and is a recurring theme in both her charitable and commercial endeavors.

Rabbi Sandy Sasso, a well-known author, and figure in the community, will moderate the discussion that evening. She is the first woman to be ordained as a rabbi by the Reconstructionist movement, who formerly worked at Beth-El Zedeck in Indianapolis.

A table at the event has already sold for nearly $5,000 (about £4,400), and the money will benefit the community foundation Women’s Fund, which seeks to empower women who are weak, encounter discrimination, or struggle in their careers.

For the opulent occasion, there are rigorous regulations in place, and photography and recording are not permitted.

At this time, it is unknown if Prince Harry will also be present.

taylor swift midnights

The response to “Midnights” from the fans has left Taylor Swift feeling “Very Overwhelmed” and “Soft and Fragile.”

Even if they make fun of her easter eggs, Taylor Swift remains appreciative of her fans. Here is what the ‘Midnights’ creator had to say about how her 2022 album was received.

swift with jimmy fallon

13 original songs from Swift’s most recent album, Midnights, each depict a restless night in the singer’s life. This artist published a “3 am Edition” of the album as a special treat for fans. Each song shattered numerous personal records and received millions of Spotify streams.

Midnights helped Swift break the record for the most-streamed album on Spotify in a single day and set a new record for the largest album ever published globally in Spatial Audio on Apple Music. Regarding sales, according to Billboard, Midnights sold more than 1.3 million equivalent album units in the US in its first four days of availability.

With fans discussing their favorite songs and finding Easter Eggs, it should come as no surprise that Midnights and Taylor Swift became top trending topics on Twitter. Actor Penn Badgley used the “Anti-Hero” video as inspiration for his TikTok.

Thanks to the “Midnights” fan reaction, Taylor Swift is feeling “extremely delicate and fragile.”

Swift’s latest release may have been her biggest to date. In a segment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Swift discussed the significance of this album and the very positive reception it has received from fans.

“I’m beside myself, really,” she said. “It’s a concept record, but it’s my first directly autobiographical album in a while.”

The song “midnights” by the indicated artist is a Red re-record that was originally recorded roughly ten years ago. Swift referred to the songs on Folklore and Evermore as “story time,” in which she developed characters and provided background information on their backstories.

“I’m feeling very overwhelmed by the fans’ love for the record,” she continued. “I’m also feeling, like, very soft and fragile. The two can exist at once. But the fact that the fans have done this — the breaking of the records and the going out to the stores and getting it — It’s like, you know I’m 32, so we’re considered geriatric pop stars.”

Here are some reviews of Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” from fans.

Fans commented on this release, with the generally good mixed reviews leaning more in that direction. With over 40 million Spotify listens, “Lavender Haze” currently has the most streaming of any “Midnights” song.

“Doesn’t have the peaks and valleys of some of her other albums but [is] pretty consistent throughout the whole thing. If you’re into the dreamy/synth pop then this is a whole album of it,” says a Reddit user.

“Really liked ‘Anti-Hero’ and ‘Midnight Rain’ personally.”

“People had me worried, but I really really like it, in fact, I love it,” written by another Reddit user.

“I enjoy the lyricism the fun songs are fine without being so cheesy like ‘Me!’ was, for me a no-skip album. It maybe doesn’t have the highs in terms of big pop bangers, but I could see this being amazing as a visual album and I think her most cohesive project album.”

funeral prayer for Arshad Sharif today at 2pm
Arshad Sharif

Arshad Sharif, a well-known journalist and television host, will receive his final salutations from his loved ones this afternoon as they pray for his eternal rest.

At 2:00 PM today, the Shah Faisal Mosque in Islamabad will conduct the journalist’s burial prayers, according to his family. He will afterwards be laid to rest at the H-11 cemetery in the nation’s capital.

Arshad Sharif was killed in Kenya, and his body was sent to Pakistan. Early on Wednesday, a plane carrying his body touched at the Islamabad airport. The body was picked up by his family members at the airport in Islamabad.

In its initial report, Kenya’s police acknowledged killing him. According to the Kenyan police, Sharif was shot in the head after a case of mistaken identity.

An eight-member medical board from the PIMS hospital performed a postmortem on his body at the hospital per the family’s request. The family requested that an OMFS surgeon and an ENT surgeon be added to the medical team.

His body was also subjected to an X-ray and a CT scan at the hospital by the PIMS medical board.

According to sources, today is the anticipated release date for the initial postmortem report.

The forensic analysis of the materials delivered to the laboratory may take a few days, according to Professor Hashim Raza of the PIMS hospital.

Faisal Vawda disputed the Kenyan police’s version of how Arshad Sharif was killed in a case of mistaken identity, claiming that the murder was premeditated and planned in Pakistan.

The PTI leader claimed that Arshad’s martyrdom was not an accident but rather the result of a pre-planned murder. He noted that Arshad Sharif was killed by a close-range shot.

Arshad left Pakistan after being threatened and blackmailed, according to him, so he travelled to Dubai.

Tuesday in Peshawar, PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan asserted that murdered journalist Arshad Sharif was the subject of a plot.

Whatever anyone says, I am certain that Arshad Sharif was a victim of targeted killing, Khan declared.

“I had heard that Sharif would be slain in order to silence the truth,” said the source.

Additionally, the former leader asserted that Sharif was receiving threats from unidentified callers.

Khan said, adding that he thought Sharif was the most admired journalist, “I told him to leave the nation, but he did not listen.”

Tuesday, the Pakistan Army requested that a high-level investigation into the untimely death of the journalist be carried out by the government.

In order to put an end to all of these rumours, we have asked the government to conduct a high-level investigation, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Lt Gen Babar Iftikhar.

“This horrible occurrence needs to be investigated from every angle,”

The DG ISPR responded to a query regarding the allegations levelled against the institutions regarding their alleged role in Sharif’s murder in Kenya by saying: “It is extremely regrettable that people engage in claims without any proof to support them… and I believe these issues should be addressed with a thorough inquiry.

The Kenyan police, who accepted blame, claimed that Sharif was killed when officers searching for a stolen car opened fire indiscriminately on the journalist’s car believing it to be a stolen vehicle.

According to a police complaint from Kenya, the vehicle rushed through a guarded barricade without halting, raising suspicions that a child was inside.

Government in touch with Kenyan officials: FO
According to the Pakistani Foreign Office, the government is actively coordinating at various levels with the Kenyan authorities for the swift repatriation of Sharif’s lifeless remains.

Pakistan has also formally requested that Kenya look into the event.

The Ministry of Science and Technology (MoSTPakistan )’s Science Foundation (PSF) recently began “Launching of STEM in Pakistan Phase-I” in order to carry out the government’s objective of creating a knowledge-based economy.

It is an overarching project that will be carried out concurrently across the nation with the assistance of federal and provincial stakeholders and departments of education.

Giving Pakistani preparation for creating a workforce for the fifth industrial revolution a boost is one of the project’s goals.

In this regard, a check-distribution ceremony was held in the committee room, presided over by Federal Minister for Science and Technology Agha Hassan Baloch.

Ghulam Muhammad Memon, the secretary of MoST, Prof. Dr. Shahid Mahmood Baig, the chairman of PSF, and other key MoST and PSF officials were present at the event. In the initial stage of the project, Agha Hassan Baloch gave checks totaling Rs. 1 million to build STEM Labs.

With a budget of Rs. 993.784 million, 50 STEM laboratories would be built in higher secondary schools and cadet colleges, along with 8 labs in other universities and organizations.

These labs will be outfitted with high-tech tools like 3D printers, vinyl cutters, design computers, STEM kits, etc., so that kids may learn the necessary new skills for the fifth industrial revolution.

It is important to note that the initiative that PSDP approved aims to improve the educational abilities of both teachers and pupils across Pakistan.

Agha Hassan Baloch emphasized practical learning experiences and the fostering of entrepreneurial abilities in the audience. Furthermore, he asserted that STEM education represents a paradigm shift from conventional education to the practical application of fundamental scientific ideas.

Instead of depending just on what is written in textbooks, STEM encourages young people to explore, make mistakes, and learn from their own experiences. It includes fundamental concepts like critical thinking, logical analysis, inquiry, and project-based learning that encourage students’ natural curiosity and drive them to succeed in applied STEM subjects.

He also stressed how this initiative will improve Pakistan’s readiness to take advantage of upcoming global chances for job growth and entrepreneurial potential in the fields of emerging technology and science.

Block Chain Technology for Pakistan

Block Chain Technology for Pakistan

The technology of Block Chain System In Pakistan.

download 5 3

Today’s world is on the verge of a technological revolution. Blockchain technologies are one such revolution that offers a wide range of development options among the technologies created by this boom.

When blockchain technology was just utilized to create cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and Ethereum, to mention a couple, that is old history. Another common misunderstanding about blockchain is that since cryptocurrencies are illegal, so must blockchain technology be. One of these characteristics of blockchain is the ability to mint cryptocurrency, among many others.

Blockchain technologies connect a decentralized network that enables users to send transactions and create applications without the need for a server or a centralized authority. The owner’s digital signature serves as a safeguard for the transactions connected to this ledger. Every transaction made through this ledger is legitimate and impervious to tampering thanks to this digital signature.

what is blockchain the technology explained
applications of blockchain technology

Blockchain technology is now used outside of developed economies.

Blockchain technology use is on the rise in Africa and the rest of the world as a means of accelerating e-commerce and entrepreneurship socioeconomic progress. They provide a variety of functions by eliminating middlemen, cutting expenses, facilitating quick transactions, bringing about transparency, and boosting credibility.

The uses of blockchain technologies in the banking and finance, real estate, supply chain, energy, healthcare, tourism, and education sectors have been lauded. The average global cost of sending $200 to low- and middle-income nations is 6.9%, according to the World Bank Group, which inevitably results in a reduction in the amount given to households. As part of the SDG agenda, SDG 10(c) intends to lower the cost of remittance to less than 3% in 2030.

About $21.84 billion of Pakistan’s foreign exchange comes through remittances. It has a lot of potentials to be used in terms of macroeconomic stability. The development of foreign exchange reserves is hampered by the unstable rupee, uncertainty, sluggish and expensive transfers, hassles brought on by banks, and FATF restrictions. Blockchain technology will soon be used for international transactions. In an effort to fight the financing of terrorism and money laundering, Pakistan implemented it in 2008 for cross-border remittances from Malaysia through Vaylou in collaboration with Telenor Microfinance Bank. The OECD and numerous higher-ranking Pakistani authorities have praised the deployment of blockchain technology as a “move towards financial inclusion and technical development.”

The lack of proper market prices and information on potential buyers and sellers has caused differences in Pakistan’s real estate market. Blockchain can be used to handle client profiles and property information, expedite financial transactions, and operate on a secure, decentralized system. Maintaining records of past transactions and customer information can assist in resolving ownership disputes and the establishment of Ponzi schemes, which are fairly common in Pakistan’s real estate market.

It has shown to be useful in the healthcare industry for managing patient and medical staff databases as well as patient personal information, health history, and test result data. It can store enormous volumes of data, making data storage easy to access, share, and keep private.

Pakistan has a really astonishing track record of destroying or tainting documents, particularly when it comes to large-scale development initiatives. Blockchain provides a practical, traceable, secure, and unhackable end-to-end encryption solution to this issue. Similar to this, the Sindh police force has deployed a blockchain-based resource management system to automate transactions while controlling inventory and distribution of police warehouses throughout the province.

Election-related scandals including false votes, double counting, and counting mistakes always surround voting in Pakistan. To ensure election transparency, blockchain technology provides traceable and automated blockchain-based voting systems that are accessible via mobile devices.

Pakistan’s economic growth and development have been hampered by its energy crisis. The electrification of rural areas using renewable energy sources including solar, wind, biogas, and microturbines may benefit from blockchain technology. The use of smart grids has resulted from the decentralization of renewable energy. The regulation and monetization of microgrids, which deters people from buying or selling them and using them for energy production, pose the main problem. Numerous energy-based applications that are user-friendly are available for blockchain technologies. It can control how much energy is consumed on microgrids and keep track of peer-to-peer energy transfers. Blockchain technology is also being utilized globally in the agriculture and tourist industries.

Numerous businesses in Pakistan, like Info Grains, SoluLab, Softtik Technologies, Genesis Lab, and Relymer, are dedicated to providing solutions based on Blockchain technologies as the industry in Pakistan develops. The Pakistan Blockchain Institute (PBI) also provides advisory, research, and instructional services in Pakistan related to blockchain.

Blockchain technology adoption in Pakistan is still in its infancy, and its full potential has not yet been realized. In a meeting with Jimmy Nguyen, president of the BSV blockchain association, the president of Pakistan recently discussed the necessity of adopting blockchain technology and voiced his worry on issues related to data silos in the regulatory functions of the government. It was suggested that Pakistan implement a “National Blockchain Strategy” and teach all government employees, including ministers.

The government must involve policymakers, blockchain professionals, and public-private players in order to create an effective policy-induced “National Blockchain strategy” at both the sectoral and government levels. Governments and policymakers can consult the Global Blockchain Policy Centre, which the OECD launched in 2019, for information on blockchain and other Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT).

This center’s major goal is to assist governments in addressing the issues related to blockchain and DLT (Distributed Ledger Technologies) in order to take advantage of the potential it presents across sectors for attaining policy goals. In order to enjoy the benefits of blockchain technologies for economic development, Pakistan must move toward context-specific and policy-induced adoption of these technologies. This requires both the opening of discourse and discussion as well as the development of solutions.

Central Highlands of the Moon in a Single Frame
The Moon’s surface was photographed by NASA’s Lucy mission on October 16, 2022, about 6.5 hours after it passed by the Earth for the first of three gravity assistance. The picture displays a viewpoint that is recognizable to observers on Earth because it was obtained when Lucy was around 160,000 miles (260,000 km) from the Moon when it was captured. The picture shows a region of the final quarter moon that is 800 miles (1200 km) wide.

There are other well-known craters visible, notably the recently formed crater Arzachel to the left of the center. To the lower left of the center, the Straight Wall, a significant fault scarp, can be seen cutting through the lava plains.

The image has been sharpened after being created by blending 10 different 2-millisecond exposures of the same scene. Approximately 0.8 miles are represented by each pixel (1.3 km).

Lucy’s high-resolution greyscale imager, L’LORRI (Lucy Long Range Reconnaissance Imager), was used to capture this picture. Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory supplied and ran L’LORRI.

Terminator Mosaic
The Moon’s surface was mosaiced by NASA’s Lucy spacecraft on October 16, 2022, between 7.5 and 8 hours after it passed by the Earth for the first of three gravity assistance. The flyby brought the spacecraft within 224 miles (360 km) of Earth during its closest approach, passing below the height of the international space station. When these pictures were obtained, Lucy was averaging around 140,000 miles (230,000 km) away from the Moon.

The mosaic was created when Lucy was passing in front of the Moon, therefore it displays a view that is familiar to spectators on Earth and is centered around the terminator of the final quarter moon. The picture shows the ancient, lava-filled impact basin Mare Imbrium near the top and the rough extensively cratered Southern Highlands near the bottom of the mosaic. Near the mosaic’s left edge, the brilliant, new crater of Copernicus stands out.

This sharpened mosaic was created from five different 1-millisecond exposures. There is a slight mismatch in the photographs near the uppermost part of the moon’s edge since the image covering that area was obtained earlier. Approximately 0.7 miles are represented by each pixel (1.2 km).

Lucy’s high-resolution greyscale imager, L’LORRI (Lucy Long Range Reconnaissance Imager), was used to capture this mosaic. Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory supplied and ran L’LORRI.

Single Mare Imbrium Frame
On October 16, 2022, NASA’s Lucy spacecraft took this picture of the Moon’s surface, about eight hours after it made its first of three gravity assistance by flying by the Earth. Given that Lucy was in this position when the photo was taken, spectators on Earth will be able to recognize the viewpoint.

The image depicts a lunar landscape that is about 600 miles (1000 km) broad and is dominated by the long-gone, lava-filled impact basin known as Mare Imbrium. The lower-right corner of the picture is dominated by the Apennine Mountains, which are a component of the Imbrium basin rim and served as the landing location for the Apollo 15 mission in 1971. When the photo was taken, Lucy was around 140,000 miles (230,000 km) away from the Moon.

The image, which was sharpened, was created with a single exposure of 1 millisecond. Approximately 0.7 miles are represented by each pixel (1.1 km).

Lucy’s high-resolution greyscale imager, L’LORRI (Lucy Long Range Reconnaissance Imager), was used to capture this picture. Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory supplied and ran L’LORRI.

Nawaz Sharif believes Imran Khan’s long march will fail.

Nawaz Sharif believes Imran Khan’s long march will fail.

Nawaz Sharif, the head of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), stated on Wednesday that Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is a robber and that the long march will be a failure.

Faisal Vawda, a former federal minister and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), spoke to the media in London on Wednesday and declared, “Write down my words, the long march will fail.”

The former prime minister claimed that Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, is not bringing about any revolution and that Faisal Vawda has since stated that the long march will be bloody.

According to Nawaz Sharif, the electorate has witnessed Imran Khan’s revolution over the four years of his administration and all they want is to name their army commander. However, the army chief is not the leader of any party but rather a national institution.

The PML-N leader continued by claiming that Imran Khan is not a revolutionary but a liar and that although he accuses others of being thieves, he is actually the largest thief with incontrovertible proof of foreign sponsorship, Toshakhana, and thefts totaling Rs50 billion.

He questioned, “Tell me what is the bigger theft than foreign funding.”

The lengthy march’s purpose, according to PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz, who spoke at the event, is to destroy Pakistan and spread fitna. They now require additional resources because their attempts to sow chaos are failing due to their plans A, B, and C as well as their politics.

FAISAL VAWDA TELLS PTI INSIDERS ALSO INVOLVED IN TOPPLING GOVERNMENT

ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Faisal Vawda claimed on Wednesday that some party insiders were also involved in destabilising the PTI government.

If questioned about his statement, Faisal Vawda stated that he will answer to PTI chief Imran Khan. He went on to say that he will not respond to Ali Zaidi’s tweet. He claimed that after learning about Ali Zaidi’s ministry, everyone will be surprised.

“My chairman is Imran Khan.” Some party insiders also played a role in destabilising Imran Khan’s government. Some aspirants to the party’s leadership were involved in the plot.”

“I intend to take part in the upcoming PTI long march.” I despise the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) as well.”
Vawda claimed to have maintained contact with the slain senior journalist Arshad Sharif. “Those who are involved in his assassination and benefit from his death.” It was not an unintentional death, but rather a planned version. The establishment played no part in Arshad Sharif’s murder.”

He claimed that no ordinary person could send Arshad Sharif to a farm in Kenya. Vawda reiterated that senior journalist Arshad Sharif was shot from close range, but the driver of his vehicle was unharmed. He promised to make many revelations in the coming days.
Vawda also expressed concerns about bloodshed during the PTI’s long march. “I am 99 percent certain that there will be bloodshed during the upcoming long march.” I will advise Imran Khan to proceed with caution during the long march.”

“It is our right to protest peacefully, and it is the government’s responsibility to provide security.” We should also be cautious and avoid becoming involved in any plot that will result in bloodshed,” Vawda added.

IMRAN KHAN OBJECTS TO NA-95 MEMBERSHIP BEING SUSPENDED

Khan has asked the court to overturn the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision to de-notify him as the MNA from NA-95 Mianwali in his case.

Khan said in his plea that ECP had de-notified him from NA-95 Mianwali and disqualified him from NA-5.

It should be mentioned that Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was unseated from the NA-95 Mianwali-I constituency by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) following the Toshakhana reference.

Following Khan’s disqualification in the Toshakhana reference on October 21, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) denotified him from the NA-95 Mianwali-I constituency.

The commission also released a notification regarding this.

Imran Khan, a former prime minister and the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, was disqualified from the Toshakhana reference under Article 63(1) by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) (p).

The ECP claimed that Khan had filed a fake affidavit, had been discovered to have engaged in corrupt behaviour, and had been given the go-ahead to file criminal charges against the PTI chairman.

Ahsan Iqbal depicts the economy in pessimistic terms

Ahsan lamented that during the past four years, a substantial portion of money for the provinces had burdened down the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), and that 42% of schemes had been included in the programme as a result, leaving little to nothing for the federal initiatives.

These opinions were shared by the federal minister while he briefed the National Assembly Standing Committee on Planning, which was presided over by Khalid Magsi.

He informed the committee that his predecessors engaged in adhocism and avoided developing comprehensive strategies. He painted a dire image of the economy and asserted that the only way the nation could overcome its problems was if it could produce $100 billion in five years.

According to the minister, in order to meet the nation’s external financial needs, domestic exports must rise from $30 billion to $100 billion over the course of the next five years.

He claimed that despite Pakistan’s development program’s yearly financing needs being over Rs. 1900 billion, the government was only able to set aside Rs. 700 billion for the current fiscal year due to budgetary restrictions.

The minister claimed that while the PML-N government implemented Vision 2010 and Vision 2025, the previous administration did not approve the five-year plan.

The past administration, he continued, was always accusing people of being thieves and infuriated China by charging it with spending lavishly on projects. The government is prepared to hold the 11th meeting of the Pakistan-China Joint Coordination Committee on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) because “we are now regaining China’s confidence.”

Ahsan Iqbal further stated that the federal government’s tax and non-tax revenues would total Rs. 9000 billion this year, of which Rs. 4000 billion would be distributed to the provinces and Rs. 4000 billion would be used to pay off debts. This meant that the entire government was dependent on borrowing.

He added that Pakistan has the advantage of its location and that China has the ambitious Belt and Road Initiative plan, and that by taking use of this, we may become a commercial hub for a sizable portion of the world.

He claimed that China also benefits from having a different corridor as part of CPEC. Pakistan would greatly profit if even 5% of China’s trade originated in Pakistan.

He added that Chinese businesses had established energy projects under the IPP model and that China had provided the concessional loans for infrastructural projects.

According to Ahsan Iqbal, there were issues with Chinese business visas under the Tehreek-i-Insaaf. 58 percent of the NFC’s revenue now goes to the provinces as a result of the 18th Amendment, he claimed, thus maintaining stable political conditions and sustainable economic growth strategies are essential.

Syed Mahmood Shah, a committee member, lamented at the meeting that not a single project from his district had been included in the PSDP 2022–23.

Only several months after his first bath in more than 50 years, a man passes away.

Several months after receiving his first wash in decades in Iran, a recluse known as the “world’s dirtiest man” passed away at the advanced age of 94.

The old gentleman, known by the alias “Amou Haji,” passed away on Sunday in the village of Dejgah in the southern province of Fars, according to an Iranian news agency.

Local media said that Haji hadn’t taken a bath in more than 60 years while he was covered in soot and living in a cinder-block shanty.

He refused to wash because of emotional difficulties he suffered in his adolescence, according to the Villagers.

The Tehran Times stated in 2014 that Haji would consume roadkill, puff on an animal excrement-filled pipe, and felt that cleanliness would make him ill. He was captured on camera puffing on multiple cigarettes.

However, according to the news agency, villagers had just a few months prior convinced him to wash for the first time.

After Haji’s passing, the unofficial record might go to Kailash “Kalau” Singh, an Indian from a town outside of Varanasi who, like Haji, had abstained from bathing for more than 30 years in an effort to assist the country solve all of its issues.

The Pakistanis who had been detained in connection with the event were to be released, according the prime minister Shehbaz Sharif’s request to the Saudi crown prince.

In response to the crown prince’s choice, PM Shehbaz expressed his appreciation.

“I am extremely appreciative to Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman for granting my request to have the Pakistanis detained there for the incident in April 2022 released. We beseech Allah Almighty to transform us into more compassionate Muslims, “He tweeted something.

The sanctity of the sacred mosque was violated, and three further Pakistani residents, Anas, Arshad, and Muhammad Saleem, were given six years in prison for their roles in the mayhem.

When prime minister Shehbaz Sharif travelled to Saudi Arabia in April, a group of protesters who purportedly belonged to the PTI began yelling anti-PM and anti-delegation chants as soon as they entered the Roza-e-Rasool mosque to pay their respects (PBUH).

he demonstrators began chanting “chor, chor (thieves)” when they saw the première and harassed and screamed inappropriate chants against Marriyum Aurangzeb as PM Shehbaz and his delegation arrived at the mosque.

The JWP leader and Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Shahzain Bugti was also mistreated by the protesters, who yanked his hair. On their smartphones, the protesters continued to record the entire incident.
