The children of Kate Middleton and Prince William are in for a nightmare at their new, respectable school

image 63

The children of Kate Middleton and Prince William will apparently move to a new, “respectable” school in the fall as the Cambridges shift their life, but the little prince is in for a challenging time.

Princess Charlotte, age seven, and Prince George, age nine, attended Thomas’ School in Battersea. According to rumours, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will relocate their family this year from London to Berkshire.

The Cambridges’ new home near Windsor Castle, Adelaide Cottage, is only a short drive from Lambrook School in Berkshire, where George, Charlotte, and Prince Louis are anticipated to begin attending.

The institution, according to parents of students there, puts a contemporary, cosy, and loving twist on the traditional prep school experience.

Following the EU’s proposal for a nuclear deal, Iran expresses optimism

TEHRAN: After the European Union put up a proposal aimed at reaching a consensus in the talks that have been deadlocked since March, Iran said Monday that it remains “optimistic” about a potential revival of the 2015 nuclear deal.According to Nasser Kanani, a spokeswoman for the foreign ministry,

“We remain optimistic that the negotiation process will result in a rational and reasonable outcome.”The statement follows the submission of a new draught text by Josep Borrell, the head of EU foreign policy and coordinator of the nuclear negotiations between Iran and other powers, on Tuesday. Borrell urged all parties to approve the text or “risk a dangerous nuclear crisis.”

In order to revive the agreement, negotiations in Vienna started in April 2021, but they have been inactive since March due to disagreements between Tehran and Washington over a number of issues.

The US was removed from the agreement, and sanctions were lifted against Iran in the hopes that Tehran would resume its nuclear commitments. The two parties conducted their negotiations through the coordinator of the European Union.

According to the power division official, K-power Electric’s tariff will be adjusted upward during the first three months of 2022. The only power provider in the nation will receive a subsidy of Rs3.98 per unit, he added, noting that K-power Electric’s tariff is already lower than that of other firms.

The NEPRA officials said that the average tariff for K-Electric is Rs25.52 per unit and after an approval in tariff hike; it will rise to Rs26.08 per unit. Rupee keeps up modest upward trend against US dollar

By HUMAIRA

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee continues to strengthen against the US dollar at the start of this week as it increases in value by 87 paisa in interbank trading. The US dollar declined by 87 paisa during the early trading activity on Monday, according to forex dealers, and was trading for Rs238.50 by 11am.

download 8

On Friday, the last trading day of the previous week, the US currency slumped and closed at Rs239.37. The dollar which had been pulverizing the Pakistani rupee for the last few weeks gave some breathing space to Pakistani rupee which on Friday gained 57 paisa in the interbank trading. Finance Minister Miftah Ismail during his press conference yesterday, sounded hopeful believing that pressure on the rupee would be dissipated within two weeks and things would become easy. He said rupee value was improving after a reduction in our import bill which was a welcoming sign.

While conceding that dollar had gone out of control post the July 17 by-polls in Punjab, Ismail said he still believed the value of rupee was far greater than where it was currently standing. “Fundamentals are in my favour, but speculation and sentiments also play a role,” he said. The sentiments in market have also improved with the hope that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is likely to start the process for releasing the seventh and eighth tranches of a $6 billion loan programme for Pakistan later this week, as has been reported in a section of press.

download 9

Pakistan and the IMF signed the $6bn bailout accord — Extended Fund Facility (EFF) — in 2019. But the release of a $1.7 billion (seventh and eighth) tranche has been on hold since earlier this year, when the IMF expressed concern about Pakistan’s compliance with the deal. Last week, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa telephoned US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman to seek Washington’s support for the package.

The rupee lost 4.8% more of its value against the US dollar in the week ended July 29. This increases the rupee’s overall loss since Imran Khan’s administration was toppled on April 7 to 27.2 percent. The State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) foreign exchange reserves, which were valued at $11.425 billion at the end of March, gradually decreased to $8.575 billion as of July 22.

PARIS: According to an examination of 21 billion Facebook friendships, children from lower-income families are more likely to earn more in the future if they live in neighbourhoods where they can make friends with wealthier youngsters.

It has long been thought that having wealthy friends might help kids get out of poverty, but prior studies have used small sample sizes or provided scant information.

In order to investigate the problem, a group of US-based academics used Facebook, the largest social database in the world, with its almost three billion users.

They examined the private information of 72 million US Facebook members between the ages of 25 and 44. The Facebook friendships served as a stand-in for actual friendships.

On Twitter, self-promotion can result in increased remuneration

image 52

One of the paper’s co-authors, Andrew Whinston, asserted that doing so would be advantageous for those who aggressively promote themselves on Twitter.

Researchers looked at the number of self-promotional posts executives made and the size of their following in order to conduct the study. They also noted how closely the tweets aligned with the demands of a position or a business.

The researchers counted the job seekers, of which one group used social media to advertise themselves while others did not.Researchers found that C-level job seekers who frequently utilised Twitter to flaunt their talents and knowledge were more likely to receive high-paying offers of employment than those who did not.

Whinston observed that “self-promotion worked in this class of persons.” We discovered that the concept of self-promotion is legitimate and that using Twitter to promote yourself is worthwhile.

From South Africa’s series victory over England, here are 5 new things we can infer about them.

South Africa needs to play five more T20Is before the World Cup, but only two more teams to complete (three in India in October just before the tournament). In the first partnership frequently managed by Quinton de Cock, Lisa Hendrix, though less eye-catching, got a lot of attention with his streak. Hendrix came back for the third consecutive half-century to finish as the series’ top run scorer, finishing ahead of far better-known names on both sides, including returnee Rossew and England summer man Johnny Bairstow.

And he did it without much beating, but he had a lot of classes. Hendrix is a smooth timer on the ball, quick on the wrist and quick between wickets. It’s supposed to be a member. But in reality, Hendrix is often a reservist. Hendrix has had the opportunity to play in every game in the series for the ninth time in South Africa’s 18 series since 2018, and South Africa may need to wonder why. The answer lies in the senior team’s bottleneck, which is only complicated when Tenba Bavma returns from the injury.

Verstappen compliments Schmitz’s

Verstappen’s improved strategy allowed him to avoid using the hard compound tire during the race after he struggled with grip during the reconnaissance circuits to the starting grid.

Contrarily, Ferrari experienced a race-ending breakdown after equipping race leader Charles Leclerc with hards, causing a decline in speed that ultimately resulted in him placing sixth.

Let’s put it this way: Verstappen stormed from 10th on the grid to win at the Hungaroring on Sunday, increasing his advantage at the top of the drivers’ championship to 80 points heading into the summer break. However, I believe that our team is made up of many good men and women.

Hannah, our strategist, was, in my opinion, irrationally composed today. Yes, she is excellent.

Turkey reports that the 1st grain ship from Ukraine has departed Step-by-step

grain

The first ship to set sail from Ukraine with grain exports since the beginning of the Russian invasion is due to leave on Monday under a guaranteed safe passage agreement, Turkey’s defence ministry said, adding that more will follow.

The Sierra Leone-flagged ship Razoni will set off from Odesa port for Lebanon with its cargo of corn, the ministry said.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Feb 24 has sparked a worldwide food and energy crisis that is shaking the global economy. The United Nations has warned of a global hunger crisis with a “real risk” of multiple famines this year.

Russia and Ukraine account for nearly a third of global wheat exports. But Western sanctions on Russia and fighting along Ukraine’s eastern seaboard have prevented grain ships safely leaving ports.

Nearly a third of the world’s wheat exports come from Russia and Ukraine. However, war along Ukraine’s eastern shoreline and Western sanctions against Russia have prevented grain ships from safely departing ports.

Following the signing of a grain and fertiliser export deal in July by Moscow, Kyiv, Ankara, and the United Nations, the departure of the Razoni was made possible. The agreement intends to ensure the secure transit of grain supplies into and out of the ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Pivdennyi.

The Sierra Leone-flagged cargo ship Razoni, which is carrying corn, will leave the Odesa port at 8:00 in the morning (05:30 GMT) on August 1 in order to travel to Lebanon, according to a note from Turkey’s defence ministry.

Pakistan’s financial needs will be more than fully covered in FY23, according to SBP and the finance ministry

financial

According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the Ministry of Finance, the ongoing International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme will more than adequately cover Pakistan’s gross financial needs for the current fiscal year while also providing an additional $4 billion buffer.

image 32

According to a joint statement released on Sunday, the nation’s finance requirements are due to a $10 billion current account deficit and approximately $24 billion in foreign debt repayments.

Pakistan’s financial needs

“It is vital for Pakistan to be slightly overfinanced relative to these needs,” it stated. “This will strengthen Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves position.” As a result, in addition to the $1.2 billion tranche that the IMF is anticipated to issue in the upcoming weeks, finance commitments totaling $4 billion were being secured through a variety of channels, including friendly nations.

“Policy lapses have caused the next review of the IMF programme to take longer than expected, which has contributed significantly to the scarcity of inflows. While this has been happening, debt servicing on foreign borrowing has persisted because these obligations have been maturing during this time.

image 33

On the other hand, the statement noted that the exchange rate had been significantly under pressure, particularly since mid-June, as a result of general USD tightening, an increase in the current account deficit, a decline in reserves, and worsening sentiment as a result of the delay in the IMF agreement and domestic politics.financial

FAP Chairperson Malik Bostan claimed that the government had increased border security to prevent the smuggling of dollars into Afghanistan, where the value of the dollar was higher. The flow of cash to Afghanistan has ceased, which has a negative impact on the open market, and those involved in smuggling and speculation have suffered a significant setback in the previous two days.

A day earlier, Miftah Ismail, the finance minister, expressed confidence that the rupee’s pressure, which has recently suffered a severe decline versus the dollar, would improve over the next two weeks.

The minister pledged to make every effort to ensure that the amount of money entering the nation daily outweighs that which is leaving.Interbank

Ismail predicted that attempts to lower imports would succeed and that the value of the dollar would decline. He also predicted that improvements would be noticeable within the following two weeks.

“But I’ll be honest—nobody understands the market. I firmly feel that the basics are on my side, but speculation and emotions also come into play.”
